When food is wasted water is wasted. The amount of food that gets wasted everyday worldwide is incredibly high. There
are people all over the world suffer from lack of water and food, while many people have wasted food for a variety
of reasons.

Within the article titled "Food for Thought" Eliza Barclay discusses water waste worldwide and suggests ways to fix it. She stated, "According to the World Resources Institute, an environmental think tank, inside the 1.3 billion tons of food wasted every year worldwide is 45 trillion gallons of water. This represents a staggering 24 percent of all water used for agriculture".
