Southern Flying squirrel
My animal is the southern flying squirrel (glocomys volans) and it is an endothermic vertebrate. This Squirrel is a really cool squirrel because it can fly! Well it can’t actually fly; it can glide from tree to tree trying to find food. The foods that Southern flying squirrels eat are mostly grasshoppers and crickets, because it’s a carnivore. But they also eat nuts and berries too. The flying squirrel eats at a rapid place and likes to store food in its nest to eats later. These fine specimens live in places where there are hard trees like oak, hickories, and walnut. These places include Maryland and eastern united states like Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. The American Mink (Mustela Vison) is a small, short haired animal belonging to the Mustelidae family. Much similar to a ferret in appearance the mink has short legs, short hair, a long tail, and a long sleek body with a long neck. It also has a small face, with small features, such as ears, a mouth, a nose and a pair of eyes. More reliable data can be obtained if more techniques are used to measure metabolic rate. By measuring the heat flow from an organism to its surroundings using a calorimeter, a more accurate metabolic rate can be measured (De V. Weir, 1949). The ratio of the quantity of food an animal consumes and the amount it excretes can also indicate the metabolic rate of that animal (Paradis et al., n.d.). Determining the water flux in animals with tritium labelled water is another valid method of measuring metabolic rates (Paradis et al., n.d.).
Pinus lambertiana, commonly known as the sugar pine, is found on the west coast in the mountains of Nevada, California, Oregon and Mexico. The sugar pine is the tallest of all pines and has the longest cones of any conifer. It is very important in these regions for both economical purposes and the environment. (Habeck)

These are just a few old school tactics for hunting squirrels this season. It adds a little more of a challenge but is a great way to reminisce of the old times and teach younger hunters about the old ways of hunting and keep the tradition alive. I hope this season and many more to come you will dust off that old rifle or shotgun, if only for a day, and do a little old school squirrel hunting and take someone along and show them the ways so those old school ways aren't lost in time. Although the AWA covers animals that are “warm-blooded” since 1972 the USDA does not include rats, mice, or birds to this list. It’s unfair for the rodents and birds to be excluded, because they are warm-blooded, and they are the two most used animals for animal experimentation. (Monamy)
There is “approximately 3.6 million married U.S. Americans involved in a long distance relationship in 2006” and “4 to 4.5 million U.S. college couples in a long distance relationship (LDR)” (Hassenzahl, 2012,p. 2). There are many challenges that couples in long distance relationship face, for instance, lack of face- to- face communication, and physical closeness. Couples in LDRs are also prone to experiencing extreme idealization, for instance, experiencing false ideals due to distance and not spending physical and quality time in their relationship. Recent study found that when those in long-distance dating relationships moved to a proximal relationship, they were likely to terminate the relationship (Beebe et al, 2011, p. 286). In other words, the transition from LDRs to geographical close relationship (GCR) may come to rapid termination of the relationship. This may happen because couples who live far apart obtains fewer information about their significant other. However, high idealization leads to high satisfaction in LDRs which increase longevity. “Couples in long-distance premarital relationships had less communication but surprisingly greater satisfaction and higher expectation for the likelihood of marriage than those in proximal, or geographically close, relationships” (Beebe et al, 2011, p. 286). My personal interest to the topic is based on by experience. Before my husband and I were married; we had a long distance relationship. Both of us are in the Military and in different branches we were always miles apart. Despite the long distances between us, we still manage to make our love flourish through communication. American Airlines utilizes a hub-and-spoke system to better serve the small communities. Many flights that are offered through American would require a connection through one of their hubs. American has placed it footprint in 5 great locations, John F. Kennedy, Chicago O’Hare, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, and Miami International, to offer the best viable solution to any one traveler’s needs (Horton, 2013). By using the hub-and-spoke system, American can offer an exponential amount of locations to travel to for a reduce cost (Combs, 2003). Although this may save time and money for the consumer as well as the business, the negative aspect would be the extended duration in travel for the customer.
What its eating habits are: Like all members of the cat family, tigers are carnivores. The Siberian tiger hunts a wide range of prey, including small mammals, deer, water buffalo, wild pigs, and birds. Tigers ambush their prey, often camouflaging themselves and observing their intended victims for long periods of time. Siberian tigers are strong animals, able to tackle large animals almost twice their size, and render the victim helpless by inflicting a series of deadly bites into the animal's spine or throat. This semi-nocturnal animals covers 6-12 miles each night in search of food.
