The film is about two lesbians: ex-convict Corky, and lesbian prostitute Violet who is in a relationship with mob money-launderer Caesar but decides to escape from Caesar after meeting Corky for she fell in love with her the moment she sow her in the elevator. There exist so many different societies and cultures in this world. Some like to discover and learn about new people and their ways of living but others can not seem to understand how a certain group of people can live in a different way from how they are living themselves. They simply do not want to accept other societies or cultures which can create clashes. This is something that was created socially, mainly by how people perceive ideas and other faces they are not quite used to. What are the causes of somebody looking at different cultures negatively? What issues can this type of thinking cause and what can we do to minimize it in today’s society? We will try to answer these questions by analyzing the movie “American History X.”

Throughout the 1940’s, America was not only facing pivotal moments that was reflected through films, but film itself was evolving as well. The 40’s was an era of change and challenge for entertainment. The film industry was not at its peak until it rebounded when the nation responded to World War II, thus creating many war movies that would become classics. Many films included themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and heroism which was all meant to be propaganda. Films like Casablanca and Hollywood Canteen reflect this genre trend that occurred during the 1940’s. Films during this decade also elicited the racism in America by using predominately white actors, while
