A Italian named Andrea Amati made the cutting edge violin family around the year 1555, bowed stringed instruments were imagined much sooner than this date. I say this Because you can even say a fiddle was before it. The violin as an instrument has developed after some time, as opposed to as a consummated item that was promptly imagined. While there are records of stringed instruments existing in Europe in the Middle Ages, it is suspected that the initially bowed, stringed instruments may have begun in Central Asia with instruments, for example, the morin khuur from Mongolia. These Central Asian instruments then ventured out by means of exchange courses to different parts of the world. When instrument specialists in Europe got to be distinctly …show more content…
It is suspected that maybe Andrea Amati did not make the primary cutting edge violin, and that it was rather made in Brescia before in the sixteenth century. But who know. One thing we can be sure about however is that there were a wide assortment of various stringed instruments around in the sixteenth century that the present day violin and its family inevitably developed from - including the lira da braccio, a bowed stringed instrument much like the violin that was well known in the Renaissance time frame. The most established surviving violin is named Charles IX, which was made by Andrea Amati in 1564, which in a few regards underpins the hypothesis that Amati did for sure make the primary standard cutting edge violins, or if nothing else gives physical proof to legitimize this claim. The violin turned into a well known instrument in Europe with both low class and high class instrumentalists because of its little size, flexibility, and its sweet, melodic tone. This is why it was used a lot now and in the past. The violin family in the long run turned out to be more famous than its nearby
It is believed that the Irish brought to the region the fiddle and the pipes. It is believed that the first stringed instrument, the dulcimer was brought by the Germans, Norwegians, Swedish and French. The dulcimer became known as the 1“Hog Fiddle” or “Music Box”.
Antonio Stradivari, the most famous violin-maker in all the human world, was a favorite of both the god of Delos, the fair Apollo, and of the trickster god, Hermes. His creations sang with the lilt of dance and with the song of birds; many of the Olympians would stop their affairs to listen for even a hint of Stradivari's sound. In short time, it came to be that both Apollo and Hermes would covet a violin from the luthier and both came down in their human forms one day to make their request of him.
The clarinet is a woodwind instrament consisting of a cylindrical wood, metal, or ebonite pipe with a bell-shaped opening at one end and a mouthpiece at the other end, to which a thin reed is attached. The clarinet has five different sections, the mouthpiece, the barrel, the upper section, the lower section, and the bell. The length of the entire instrument is 60 cm long. The mouthpiece section consists of a slotted cylinder, to which a reed is attached by a metal clamp called a ligature. The mouthpiece plugs into the next section which is a barrel. The barrel is simply a connecting cylinder to which the mouthpiece and the upper section plugs into. The upper section is a cylindrical pipe consisting of 4 holes and 9 keys placed in different locations along the pipe. On the back of the pipe there is a hole and a key that is used by the thumb. The lower section plugs into the upper section and is also connected via a special bridge key. This piece consists of 3 holes and 8 keys. On the inward facing side of the pipe, there is a protruding piece of metal called a thumb rest, which supports the entire clarinet. The bell plugs into the lower section. It consists of a cylinder that flares out into a bell shape and ends the clarinet.
Over all this piece was energetic and full of energy it brought both drama and diversity of melodies and harmonies. I really enjoyed the entire concert and I thought the music was well performed. I would however have liked there to be more compositions included in the concert covering a broader range of Mozart’s quartets and piano concertos. I think that more pieces being played would have allowed for more comparisons to be drawn between pieces and allowed for the listener to enjoy more of the great music that Mozart has to offer.

The Western concert flute was developed over the centuries from a simple end-blown flute to the current transverse flute. Transverse flutes are flutes that are held parallel to the floor. To play a transverse, the flutist directs the airstream across the mouth or blow hole and not directly into the instrument. The flute constitutes one of the most important instruments of the orchestra because of its high range, ability to blend in with other instruments and play the melody.
Antonio Stradivari, a man known by many as on of the greatest luthiers of all time. The question at hand is why? From as early as the early 1700’s Stradivari was well known in the music world and still is. His instruments are reproduced in order to fool consumers into buying an instrument that has the same design as a Strad. There are also luthiers that try to replicate Stradivari’s beautiful design for their own satisfaction. Antonio Stradivari’s instruments have become socially and technically popular over time due to his superior craftsmanship, and for others, its large price tag. Stradivari’s life, affecting how his instruments were made, changed the perception of his instruments technically and socially.

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi is well-known as an Italian composer and violinist during the Baroque period. In fact he’s considered the greatest master of Italian baroque, especially in the concerto grosso and violin music. Vivaldi was born in Venice, Italy March of 1678, he lived to the age of 63 and died July of 1741 in Vienna, Austria. Vivaldi’s father, Giovanni Battista Vivaldi, was a barber and professional violinist, he began to teach Antonio at a very young age, he ultimately became a virtuoso violinist. Antonio and his father performed together often and during this time Antonio was exposed to many talented musicians and composers in Venice (Bio. A& E Television Networks, 2015). He tried to play wind instruments, however, he was plagued by a type of bronchial dilation which historians believe was asthma, this inhibited him to successfully learn to play the wind instruments. At age 15, Antonio began to study for the priesthood, yet after his ordination in 1703 into the priesthood, in which he was known as “the Red Priest” (Bio. A & E Television Networks, 2015), he put blame to the “asthma” that he could not give Mass due to his short wind therefore he withdrew himself. He returned to music and accepted “his first position as maestro di violin at the Pio Ospedale della Pieta’, one of four Venetian

Long an admirer of Mozart, Chagall enthusiastically accepted the invitation from Rudolph Bing, director of the New York’s Metropolitan Opera, to create a new production of The Magic Flute for the inaugural season of the Met’s new opera house at Lincoln Center.
