I was blessed enough a few years back to have found my true love; it’s something not even for a second I take for granted. The relationship we’ve created is unlike any other, it isn’t always rainbows and butterflies we have worked hard to help it flourish. But I am so fortunate to be loved by the man of my dreams. The way he looks at make with his hazel green eyes, as though he is staring into my soul. Then kisses me, his lips so soft and smooth move towards mine. I slowly kiss him back letting him know the feelings we share are the same. A love that may affect our entire life can start from a single eye contact.
When I looked at you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew. It’s been almost four years to the day, since we’ve met. I sat upon the dew covered grass one autumn morning. The crusty brown leaves whirled around in a circle like a small tornado sweeping the beautiful park, the bewildering colors of the sun gleamed onto the pile of leaves as the breeze blew over my shoulders. Then I saw him walking his hefty shaggy mop like Dutch Schapendoes; he turned to me and caught my eye. It was as though time was moving in slow motion, my world felt complete, and at that moment I fell in love. He’ll sweep me off my feet. And I’ll know he’s the one, when he makes me laugh.
From that day on his personality influenced my day to day routine almost instantly. Days I’d feel down or blue he’ll tell little jokes or look at me with a devilish grin, making me laugh. Probably the best gift he has ever given me, to laugh at life and enjoy the little joys. When my phone hums I’m eager to see if it’s his name glowing on my screen, I feel as excited as little girl waking up on her birthday, every text being a small gift from my love. He’s...

Most people aren’t as fortunate us we are. People can spend their whole life wait and search for that head spinning, heart throbbing love reaction and never find it. But love is blind so if you’ll let it take control it will guide you to your soul mate. And when it does you’ll know. Because at that very moment no one and noting in the world will matter except for that other person. The world around you stops, the only noise you’ll hear is your heart pounding. Then in an instant your life becomes whole, then with every soft kiss, passionate embrace and delicate touch you’ll know you were meant to be. Though the power of love is strong, a love that may affect our entire life can start from a single eye contact.
Many times the love that a person is looking for is the one that a person doesn't realize.

Do you remember the first time we met? I do as I cannot shake the memory. It was love at first sight. I’ll never forget the feeling I had. A warmth overcame my body as you stoked a fire in my heart. It was like I had spent my life drowning in the sea around me and you were that breath of fresh air as I pulled myself out. My cares and concerns melted away. I was complete. You were exactly what I had been missing in my life. My better half you completed me you made me whole. Your touch, your scent, your glistening radiance I took it all in. I felt its force enter my body working its way to the very center of my soul. It felt like a real living breathing thing coalescing within my life force touching parts of me I never knew existed. You awakened some innate primal desire and I needed you at all times.
Love has the power to do anything. Love can heal and love can hurt. Love is something that is indescribable and difficult to understand. Love is a feeling that cannot be accurately expressed by a word. In the poem “The Rain” by Robert Creeley, the experience of love is painted and explored through a metaphor. The speaker in the poem compares love to rain and he explains how he wants love to be like rain. Love is a beautiful concept and through the abstract comparison to rain a person is assisted in developing a concrete understanding of what love is. True beauty is illuminated by true love and vice versa. In other words, the beauty of love and all that it entails is something true.
The day you were born I felt this indescribable love. One I had never known before. From the beginning of your life I never knew I could have a love that was so strong. When you were an infant I told people how great you were and they said, "Yeah, but wait until she is two." When you were two I told people how great you were and they said, "Yeah, but wait until she is ten." When you were ten I told people how great you were and they said, "Yeah, but just wait until she is 16." And now you are 16 and I am telling people how great you are.
Many popular love songs claim that being in love is similar to being under a magical spell. Some state that "all you need is love," and still others affirm that "love lifts us up where we belong." People dream about finding their one and only soul mate, and in this day and age, the pursuit for love and happiness is closer to home than ever before......in fact, it's only a mouse-click away.
Love is like a rose that blossoms into great beauty. Love starts with a seed that has been carefully planted in the garden. Love is much like when meeting someone for the first time. Getting to know each other is just our roots planting firmly in the ground. With each day love is growing stronger and stronger. In the poem by Ezra Pound, “The River Merchant’s Wife: A Letter” the wife married at fourteen and by the time she was sixteen her love had grown so much that she longed for her beloved husband to come home. The speaker tel...
The first time I met him my heart felt as though I had met him before. There are no words that can clearly articulate the connection. It was a magnetic energy, an intuitive knowing and everything felt right. There was no matter of space or time but we had found our way to each other, there was an instant feeling of security, he fit so perfectly into my life it was as if somehow he had been there all along. He was someone that I couldn't imagine being without.
Every day that I wake up and every night before I fall asleep, I thank God that we met, because without you I would be nothing. Through the hard times you have held my hand, through the rough times you have held me close to you, and through the ups and downs you have stayed by my side. What else could I ask for? When I am sick you tuck me in. You have brought back the person that everyone loved and have helped me learn to be the person I always wanted and knew I could be.
Seven years have passed since our first encounter and in those past seven years, we have made many memories and parted ways several times. Whenever we parted ways, we were led back to each other as if there was a spark between us. Ever since you entered my life I felt as if God somehow sent one of his angels down to me. Over the last few months, I feel like my heart has grown stronger because of the love I have for you. This love gets stronger and stronger each and every day.
Love is the underlying motive behind a lot of our actions. Love is the reason why we form special bonds with others and why some create a life together. Yet few of us are experts at love. When we are asked to define love, most of us are perplexed by dissimilar discernments of the intangible neurological condition. We thus start to feel inept. Still we have an idea of what love is and most would agree that it is more easily experienced than defined. In the short story “Beginners,” Carver fruitlessly attempts to define love through each of the characters’ distinct insight and encounter with love.
Although this sounds very sexual, this feeling is just the beginning of what will most likely become a sexual passion. When in this first state of attraction, your body feels different - more bouncy, more energetic, and in need of less food and sleep. When in this state of attraction, one feels very happy and different every time that they are with this person. Frequently, the presence (or sometimes merely thought) of the loved one can evoke specific physiological reactions. These physiological reactions include: erections for the male, wetness for the female, a lump in the throat, sweaty palms, weak knees, cold feet, a pounding heart.
Love is found on the battle field of two passion driven hearts. I am thankful for every chill and every goose bump I get, simply from the thought of being in love. The power of love that flows from every tear drop rinses off the bad memories of yesterday, cleansing my body and my soul. I hear my racing heart, pounding in my chest, every beat pulling me closer to the reigns of love. The empowering smell of love in in the air drives me insane, and I feel the strength of the grasp of love upon my soul. The thanks I feel for beholding the gift of love is huge, bigger than I would have ever imagined.
Romantic love is the baring of the soul to another person and that person CHOOSING to be as open in return. Romantic love is like a garden full of African Violets, needing specific things in specific amounts to completely thrive, in this case, honesty, compassion, trust, and stability. While some girls are giddy with the idea of wearing a bulky white ball gown and dancing the night away with the man of their dreams, some fear the outcome. How can anyone know for sure they have found ‘the one’? Couples like John and Ann Betar have been married 84 years and make the idea of love such a promising one, each still as in love as the first night they met (Shah 1-2). Then, couples like my parents can make a romantic leary of love. After 17 years of marriage, the lack of functional communication left a rift in the marriage only fixed by divorce. High school heartbreak, although not as legally difficult, still wreaks havoc on the heart. Teenagers think they have found someone to be theirs forever, which seems ridiculous at such a young age, yet they still fall in head first. Hearts, unscathed from the past, are ripped apart when he breaks up over text or she is seen on a date not even a week after the breakup. Love, something men have fought wars over, leaves the same carnage on a battlefield as it does in a broken
