In the novel, fear is a strong emotion dealt with all the boys on the island, as it consumes their body and mind taking away their moral values, leaving them with no remorse or guilt towards anything or anyone. Fear is a dangerous concept, as seen in the book it can change someone entirely. It is one of, if not the most dangerous emotion, and although fear is natural and can be a helping hand, it is an unpleasant and unfriendly feeling to the human mind. Losing everything they had mentally was all triggered by fear of the island, their choices in power and the evil within them; fear using them as puppets manipulating their ways in forgetting everything good, and moral in a human being.
