There are one hundred sixty thousand fast food restaurants in the United States of America. Everyone should think twice before deciding to eat fast food. Fast food restaurants need to sell healthier foods and tell the people what is actually in the food. Fast food restaurants should be banished in the US. The fast food restaurants should be taxed more.
A person’s health is one of the most important aspects about them. People want to be skinny and have a perfect body, people cannot eat fast food all of the time and maintain a good healthy body. The average calories intake for a fast food meal is one thousand. The average intake for calories in a day is about two thousand. This means that if a person eats a fast food meal once in a day then he or she has already eaten half of their calories for the entire day. This is the reason that half of the people in the U.S are obese. This is also the reason that not everyone in the world is the healthiest he or she can be. The U.S is one of the unhealthiest countries in the world. The U.S is the unhealthiest because we have fast food restaurants everywhere people look, on every street corner or every block. This is why fast food restaurants should be banished in the US.
Fast food is made up of products that are not good for people to eat. Fast food is low in nutrition. Fast food is high in trans-fat, saturated fat, sodium, and very high in calories. Fast food increases the risk of obesity, poor nutrition, heart disease and diabetes. Throughout the United States many American’s go through and eat at fast food places such as, McDonalds, Burger King, and Jack ‘n the Box. Mainly unaware of the amount of weight one can gain if consuming it on a daily bases or even two times week, can cause health issues, diabetes and possibly obesity. This was the main premise for writer Dave Zinczenko essay Don’t Blame the Eater, who makes an argument that many people are becoming obese and diabetic because of the fast food they eat. He asks a regarding his concern; Shouldn 't we know better than to eat two meals a day in fast-food restaurants?, As a way to engage the general public, like parents and teenagers, he expresses his argument through his own experience when he was a teenager eating at fast food places and information on the fast food industry in regards to how many calories are in the food.

These ingredients have rarely any nutritional value to the human body. Most of the foods available at fast food restaurants like McDonalds, Burger King, and KFC contain concentrated salt and preservatives to enhance the flavor in them. Obesity has become the defining aspect of our nation by surrounding the people with fast food products. The freedom to choose what one wants, gives the fast food companies the right to give one unhealthy food. The consumption of fast food products regularly greatly increases one’s chance of having health disparities such as Coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancers, stroke, Hypertension, and Osteoarthritis. These negative effects are present with the daily eating of fast foods.
Like the vast majority of Americans, I’ve eaten at a fast food restaurant before. Maybe the tables were sticky, or chicken was suspiciously white, but the fries tasted great, so I’d overlook the less enjoyable aspects of my experience. After reading Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, I understand that isn’t an option anymore. In ways both big and small, the fast food industry exerts a ridiculous amount of power over the American consumer, and it’s imperative that this be understood, should any impactful changes be made. As it stands now, the fast food industry is in dire need of reform, as it poses innumerable health and societal risks to the country and the world.
The fast food has a negative impact on the American people.
