Jacin was running with Winter early in the morning to get some exercise. Winter found it hard to keep pace with Jacin. She huffed as she tried to run faster, but her legs were so tired. Jacin slowed down a bit and slapped Winter on the shoulder. “We should do this more often,” Jacin said as he continued running. “I...I think…I'll pass on that,” said Winter tiredly. “Honestly, the more you run, the more easier this will be.” “I now have more respect for you guards.” Jacin smiled at her and went to a close shop to get some bottles of water. He wanted Winter to get more fit and easily outrun those who wished to bring evil on her. Next, he would teach her some fighting techniques. As he headed out with the bottles of water, he noticed that Winter
was nowhere to be seen. He tried not to panic at first. Maybe she wandered off to talk with a shop owner. The problem was that her didn't even see anyone out. Jacin yelled her name out. When he got no response, he jogged over to where they had stopped. He saw jagged lines that went backwards of where they stopped. He followed the lines to where they stopped. Could Winter have been dragged away, then carried? His hands shook as he crouched near the lines and ran a finger over them. She couldn't have been too far away, considering it had only been two minutes since he left her. He ran his hand over the gun on his waist. He ran into a possible direction of where she could have went, speeding up as the seconds passed by.
1.I would describe Faber as a “ a loner but he is also a mischievous person ” . he is similar to montag by living and listening to the rules. They are different because Faber is always at home, he doesn’t go anywhere but montag does go outside. Faber’s purpose is to help montag understand book’s. “ that’s the good part of dying when you’ve nothing to lose , you run any risk you want”. Which is saying that because they loners they don’t have no one to answer , but Faber is a loner that wants n trouble “not if you start talking the sort of talk that might get me burnt for my trouble. “ plant the books, turn an alarm and see the firemen’s houses burn, is that what you mean” Faber wants to be tricky and plant books to frame firemen. “ I’ve a list of firemen’s residence everywhere”. “ you and I who else will set the fires”. Montag wants to go along with the deceit but he doesn’t want to set the fires .
“Lord Zaroff,” announced Wilfred in a husky and dead tone, “the guests will be arriving later today.” Wilfred proceeded to open the curtains allowing light to pour in like a trembling river, making darkness crawl into the corners of the room, reaching for the ceiling so it wouldn’t drown.

On Christmas day as they were traveling through the Dawson trail in the Arctic, Cap mentioned the cold. He says that sometimes it was so cold that your lashes froze. Cap describes it by saying, “Talk of your cold! through the parka’s fold it stabbed like a driven nail” (Service 709). It was so cold that your skin feels the pricking that is felt when jumping into a cold pool. Although Cap did not make his promise to Sam McGee, yet one can assumed that the weather would still be cold after the promise was made. He faces the bitter cold while finding a place to cremate his friend. Later on in the narrative poem, the body of Sam McGee that was tied to the sled caused more weight for the dogs to pull. The “ [...] dogs were spent and the grub was getting low” (Service 711). McGee’s promise caused the dogs to get tired faster having to pull the extra weight. The food was getting low and Cap couldn’t do anything about it, because he couldn’t get to a village or town quickly with the body of his friend weighing down the sled, and the meager amount of food cause him to have little energy. Set on keeping his promise, Cap refuses to leave the body of his comrade in the cold arctic, resulting in him having to face the severity of his
The North Korean government is known as authoritarian socialist; one-man dictatorship. North Korea could be considered a start of a dystopia. Dystopia is a community or society where people are unhappy and usually not treated fairly. This relates how Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel Fahrenheit 451 shows the readers how a lost of connections with people and think for themselves can lead to a corrupt and violent society known as a dystopia.
Booooooom! The city is now in ashes. Montag went to find Faber, to make sure the bomb didn’t hit him. He explained who Faber is to Granger and his friend.

“And in her ears the little Seashells, the thimble radios tamped tight, and an electronic ocean of sound, of music and talk and music and talk coming in, coming in on the shore of her unsleeping mind.” (Bradbury 76)
“Clarisse’s favorite subject wasn’t herself. It was everyone else, and me. She was the first person in a good many years I’ve really liked. She was the first person I can remember who looked straight at me as if I counted.” (68)
Rhetorical strategies help to foreshadow plot events that occur later on throughout stories and cause readers to see past what is occurring and get an image of what will happen. In the scene where Guy Montag meets Clarisse McClellan for the first time, there is an abundance of personification and symbolism that appears as a resource for the reader to foreshadow forthcoming events. Some important events that the rhetorical strategies foreshadow is Clarisse’s death and the adventure Guy Montag goes on to discover what true happiness is. Rhetorical strategies, such as symbolism and personification, assist in the foretelling of vital pieces in Fahrenheit 451.
Who knew there could be such freezing summer nights? He took an icy gulp of air, focusing his determination.
Love isn’t supposed to be cold, but it is in most places during the winter. In this poem winter symbolizes the kind of love that the speaker is used to. The love that he has gotten all his life has been cold and distant. He spoke of this right at the beginning of the poem, “Sundays too my father got up early and put his clothes on in the blueblack
Today Im restarting my diary , because I was forced to erase all of the other entries I had. A Lot has happened over such a short period of time. The other day I listened in on my mom and dads conversation , as I was not supposed to , And i heard that my family was involved in the plan to assassinate our ruler. I still can't believe it. It did shock me at first because i was worrying about my family's safety , but after I thought about it I think this could be a good thing. Maybe if we had no leader the SIM would stop raiding our house unannounced. I was a still a little befuzzled at the time. I just hope that if my parents do go through with this whole plan to kill El Jefe , that they also have a plan to keep themselves and the rest of the
In winter, there are many great activities to do and play. First, winter contains something that no other season contains which is snow. A numerous amount of people like to play in the snow and play a variety of games. They are making a snowman, having a snowball fight, or even making snow angles. Then, there are more games to play that involve snow like skiing, hockey, even snowboarding. There are also some people who have never seen snow so they eventually become fascinated with it.Winter can make people feel a variety of emotions and make “your mood lighten up”
captive by a sheath of frost, as were the glacial branches that scraped at my windows, begging to get in. It is indeed the coldest year I can remember, with winds like barbs that caught and pulled at my skin. People ceaselessly searched for warmth, but my family found that this year, the warmth was searching for us.
