We are part of world, which is fast moving and everyone has understanding of what can be achieved in healthcare, which is everyday reframed by advancement in technology and science. The challenge in today’s healthcare is to evaluate the continual discovery techniques and knowledge for effectiveness in a care delivery and applying in to practice. To deliver the most efficient, safe and effective patient care, it is important to adopt best available knowledge of nursing practices. It is very important for a nurse to be clinical expertise, know the preferences of patient and values of most updated research evidence.
Falls and injuries related to fall is the area that needs efficient and prompt attention to lead patient safety. There are number of causes of fall, which includes generalized or muscle weakness, confusion, unsteady gain and different medication related side effects. Falls are root cause of so many traumatic fractures and other related health issues for people, especially geriatric population. As per article “A New approach to preventing falls with injuries” fall ratio of one third of the one million could be prevented in united stated in the hospital settings by applying proper safety and therapeutic interventions evidenced by proper knowledge of individualized focused care plan. Falls of any nature are very serious and can lead towards serious medical condition and even death. According to article, it is true to say that fall is costly and most of them can be prevented with prompt safety intervention.

CONCLUSION
In conclusion, I believe that basic preventive and universal precautions i.e. bed in lowest position, call light in reach and adequate light in room etc must be implemented for all patients. Moreover, transparent and proper reporting for fall will help analyze more critically, identify risk factors to implement individual care plan for fall risk patients. In addition, I think robust intervention should be implemented for proper management of falls. Remember, preventing fall can prevent devastating life after fall of a patient, so save a life by doing the right things as a nurse.
