I was given the opportunity to read an Advanced Reader Copy of Fall Far from the Tree (F3T2) in exchange for an honest review and this in no way influenced by opinion. Okay so…I don't actually know where to start…LOOK I REALLY LIKED IT! F3T2 was a such an entertaining read! It was fast-paced and action-packed and so much fun that I just flew through it! I didn't know how it was going to all end… and I didn't know how I wanted it all to end… but it was intense and brutal and just a whirlwind of a ride! I was initially attracted to Fall Far from the Tree not only because I'd thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in Amy McNulty's NEVER VEIL SERIES and was curious to see more from her, but also because F3T2 seemed to have an intriguing plot. Teenagers in influential positions struggling with their nefarious parents’ whims, definitely sounded like something I was going to be interested in. AND IT WAS. In F3T2 we have four point of view characters; Rohesia, Fastello, Cateline and Kojiro. A problem that I often have with books with multiple POV, is that I just don't enjoy certain character's POV as much as the others, which makes it feel like the book's dragging on until I reach my favourite point of view again. Thankfully this wasn’t the case in F3T2. I was actually really …show more content…
Watching them slowly come to terms with the fact that their own morals might not actually align with those of the people who raised them, makes for a wonderfully compelling story. F3T2 plot truly thickens the further we get into the story. There were some extraordinary twists and revelations that I DID NOT SEE COMING, but also made so much sense that I laughed at myself for missing the signs! Amy really has a knack for writing characters that you get emotionally invested in because the entire extended cast was also really great and interesting and I couldn't help but want to know more about
This book was a good read for me, but I also read book reviews to help me keep track on what I am reading. These book reviews just made a better understanding of what I was reading.
what kinda sucked about it is that they dragged out to the end. which made you know what's going to happen when ending came. that's why it was so dull cause I was on the last page and Sam still hasn't been killed yet so I knew right away what was going to happen. Recommendations: I would recommend this if you want to study the sight affects of the war.
This book has great balances of love interests, actions, and internal conflict with characters. It has an interesting story so far with new pieces coming up every few chapters that are very important. Like Al attacking Tris, Eric talking about Divergents and how the rebels must be eliminated. Tris and Four are developing feelings for each other, which I find weird because he is basically her teacher. They are only two years apart, so the relationship is not that awkward. In this journal I will be predicting, evaluating, and questioning.
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
Point of view is one of the single greatest assets an author can use. It helps to move the plot along and show what is happening from a character’s perspective. An author can make the plot more complex by introducing several characters that the reader has to view events through. The events can then be seen through different eyes and mindsets forcing the reader to view the character in a different light. From one perspective a character can seem cruel, yet, from another, the same character can seem like a hero. These vastly contrasting views can be influenced based on the point of view, a character’s background, and the emotions towards them. The novel Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich showcases some examples of events seen from different points
The book and the movie were both very good. The book took time to explain things like setting, people’s emotions, people’s traits, and important background information. There was no time for these explanations the movie. The book, however, had parts in the beginning where some readers could become flustered.
Sometimes I think that the trouble with men is that we aren't women. One almost never sees women fight. No, that's a guy thing, a manly thing that also raises disturbing questions about what it means to be a man these days. Becoming a man comes with realizing your responsibilities in life. Becoming a man comes when you take control of your responsibilities in life for yourself and for others. If you live at home, and accept money, food, or anything else from your parents - you have no earthly idea what it takes or means to become a man. On the day that you catch the clue that electricity costs a great deal of money, and that leaving the lights on when you leave the home becomes very expensive, then one may slightly show the slow turning into the corner to manhood. On the day that you can solve tour own problems without having to call someone for help or whining to your parents, you have become a man
I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it takes an in depth look at individuality and the thought process with and without outside control. It makes you think about how indirectly the government controls small details around you. What would happen if the government wanted to take control of you completely? How easy would it be?
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and believe it to be one of the best books I have ever read. It was extremely well written and challenging for me to understand at times. It conveys that dark side of human ambition very well, and it has given me much to think about.
First of all I would have to say that yes it has a great impact on our global warming and I will go on to explain to you how it affects our planet. We as a whole have let the dollar get in the way of how our planet is affected, some would say at all costs. It is true we have refineries, car pollution, but most of all deforestation of tropical areas. In the National Geographic Magazine you will come to see and appreciate the facts of how deforestation has affected our nation and has spiraled into global warming. We can look at Brazil’s rainforest that is estimated to be larger than two hundred football fields it will be destroyed before you are even able to read the article at hand (Magazine, 1996-2014). It has been noted that within the past 40 years we have managed to do more damage than what was done in the four hundred and fifty (450) years since the European Colonization even began. That sent chills through my bones when I read that, imagine how much tropical areas have been affected. We have destroyed twen...
Deforestation is defined as the clearing of trees, and the absence of a forest. What most people seem to turn a blind eye to the fact that we need these trees and plants not just for our paper, pencils, or even furniture, but something much greater than any of these things put together. Indeed having a low costly grocery store within walking distance is pleasant, but there are negative consequences as well as positive consequences that coincide with the placement of a Wal-Mart in the city of Oviedo. It is understood to many that industrialization as well as being able to finally have a store that does not charge six dollars for orange juice is a blessing. Fretfully, the negative consequences will
Deforestation means to cut down a big amount of trees, which results in damage to the quality of the land. Forests cover 30% of the earth's land, but are lost every year. The rainforest could disappear in about a hundred years because of the existing rate of deforestation.
Trees are one of the most important parts of the biosphere. They provide oxygen, which is one of the largest producers of life. Humans live and strive off of oxygen every second of their lives. Not just humans need oxygen to survive and thrive on Earth, but animals, and other creatures on the planet do as well. Trees are a huge part of all life and if they were gone, there would consequently be no form of life. Not only do trees create all forms of life, but they create beautiful surroundings for an area and create a comfortable and shady environment for all surrounding life. Even though trees seem to be everywhere you look, the planet is losing billions upon billions of them a year. Anywhere from three billion to six billion trees are lost every year, ("How Many Trees Are Cut Down Every Year? Rainforest Action Network Blog. N.p., n.d. Web. 10 Apr. 2014”). With this fact in thought, it shows that planting one tree can create a bigger difference than you realize.
