In my first story I want to dive into the many faces/characters that I played in my professional career. I have had numerous ups and downs when it comes to finding my leadership identity and in this story I want to touch on a couple of those instances.
The book that had the most effect on me as a pioneer while I was working in the corporate world was Extreme Ownership by Leif Babin. Despite the fact that I have dependably been a pursuer, I didn't find leadership/management books until 2010, and I didn't find Extreme Ownership until 2012. In any case, as I've kept on contemplating, perused, compose, and talk about authority in the course of recent years, I've come to consider initiative something we ideally develop toward and into as we develop,

This shows the success of the group was almost predetermined before the accident occurred due to the experience, knowledge, and skill sets these men offered. Finally I learned that recreations of true events often correlate to actual leadership traits, which evokes me to revisit other films based on real occurrences and observe them in a deeper manner; provoking further insight and expansion into my mind about how these events parallel through leadership and quantify the importance the traits and theories presented above can maintain in all aspects of life.

Modern literature contains many examples of characters who develop empathy, as well as, selflessness, honor and integrity. While they may not start out at leaders through difficult trials and adversity they identify causes to believe in, which helps them evolve into the leaders that they are remembered for today. This reminds each of us that adversity and difficult situations help mold our moral character and can shape us into leaders.

To words meaning two different things have a way of relating to one another to create something new? Many things can be made to describe two simple words like ownership and identity. Ownership can be both tangible and intangible. When looking at how ownership relates to identity, people tend to look at aesthetic instead of how ownership builds moral character that leads to identity.
I first encountered the significance of leadership in the tenth grade. Berry College the largest campus in the U.S. was in search of school ambassadors to serve part in a seminar known as HOBY. To get chosen you had to write an essay describing your leadership roles, and at that moment I thought that I did not have any. I literally did not know what it meant to be a leader. I had to brainstorm till I remembered going through one of the most difficult times of my life. The lack of understanding the English language became one of my biggest obstacles, and even caused me to repeat a chapter of my life. However, I did not cease; I continued to fight and strove to help others who were susceptible of following my steps. I used my story as an example, and hoped that it would make a difference in someone else’s life.
“On leadership” was written by John W. Gardner (The Free Press, New York, 1990). He used seventeen chapters to explain and describe essential components for the leadership should be in a successful organization. This book not only has significant influence now, but also for the future. Below are my understanding about this book, which was divided into two parts. For the first part, I will pick up some perspectives which influence me most from this book. For the second part, which is my comments and critique about this book.
Destiny, brought the book True North: Discover Your Authentic Leadership into my life and I want to bring it into the lives of others. More specifically those who may believe they weren’t born with the characteristics or traits to become a leader or those who have not found their passion or purpose in life; their “True North.” The book, written by Bill George and co-author Peter Sims, compiles a series of interviews with 125 managers from Howard Schultz of Starbuck’s to Dan Vasella of Novartis. The interviewees guide readers through their journey to become the leaders they are today; discussing their failures, successes, obstacles, personal tragedies and triumphs. The stories of each manager prove the True North’s thesis, which is no one person is born a leader and there isn’t one path to becoming a leader. The book is separated into three sections: 1) Leadership is a Journey 2) Discover Your Authentic Leadership 3) Empowering People to Lead. Before giving overviews of each section, it is important to define an authentic leader.
...eing a role model or a leader is such an important position. I have learned a lot of things about myself while writing this paper. I have learned that I am not very vocal and bossy towards others. I am the type of person that does not like to be in charge because I do not like the pressure of having to lead other people. However, throughout this paper and class I have learned that I can still be a leader even if I am not in your face about things. I can still make a change and make an impact on people through different ways. This paper taught me a lot about what leadership means to me.
Out of all leadership opportunities I have had, one stands out to me the most. The biggest event I was the leader of, was when I was in charge of the camping at Marquette Kennel Club's 2016 AKC dog show. I volunteered to be the the leader of camping, because in years past it had been a mess for the Marquette Kennel Club, and the exhibitors. Exhibitors in the past never made reservations, so when I took charge I decided that having camping reservations on the entry form was crucial. It was a lot of work organizing all of the reservations, and dealing with people but surprisingly I enjoyed it. I took joy in knowing that that would be the largest year yet for camping, and that maybe next year there could be even more people. The three characteristics
Though a little dry to read at times, I found this book to be an excellent beginner’s guide to leadership. Although the idea of “corporate” can be a bit dull after a while, Bennis and Nanus continuously attempt to liven it up with real-life examples of their strategies put into practice. They make it clear that the strategies are not what they came up with out of nowhere, but have been determined from years of various case studies. One of my favorite aspects of the book is its ability to imbue an “I can do this!” attitude to the reader.

Entrepreneurial leadership and management is influenced by different attributes that aren’t found within traditional leadership roles. The leadership role requires an individual to influence, inspire and direct a group of people. An individual that is in a management position role is required to fulfil the act of controlling events and situations. Both roles have similarities and differences that play in a role within society
