The ways in which the wealthy are described in the bible are usually seen as strong believers of God. The wealthy are the people who have (thru the eyes of God) have supplanted their faith in him. Through this they are able to become wealthy and respected by the Lord. By being becoming wealthy the Lord asks of them to be humble. In doing this they are able to show gratitude for their successes and be able to help those of greater need. In addition, the meaning of being wealth can also allude to one who has basic necessities. Such as in Deuteronomy 24:10-15 in this passage the Lord tells if one’s neighbor is withholding wages from a person who is poor they should make it their payment as soon as possible. The poor person being from a lower economic standing is in constant need of money in order to survive whatever tomorrow brings. Wealth is given to those who abide by the words of the Lord. The material wealth is the after though, its nothing but a bonus. The term poor in some instances in the bible can be relating to one’s connection to the Lord. If one has poor faith in the Lord then they are deemed as poor souls in the eyes of the Lord. Another instance of one being poor is one who lacks basic necessities. Such as, clothing, housing and food. These necessities are critical in order for the poor to survive. In the bible poor is seen as a standing in which the Lord places individuals. Every individual has the power to ascend to higher social status. But in order to achieve this higher status their believe in the Lord must improved and become realistic. Thus demonstrates how the Lord has the final say in which one should be deemed as rich or
