With the rapid growth of technology in the last decade, humans are spending more time inside than ever before. Numerous studies show that spending more time with nature can improve your life dramatically. First of all, nature can benefit humans mentally, by providing us with a place to be unbothered. Secondly, it can benefit us physically, by helping to improve our health. Lastly, it can benefit us economically, by providing jobs and by generating billions of dollars every year. The human world has many stress causing distractions that nature does not have. For example, everyday that we wake up and drive to work, we have to worry about pulled over and ticketed, getting hit by a car, hitting a deer, being late, or slipping on a sheet of ice. Then, when we get to work, challenges are presented that cannot be avoided. You are obligated to do your job, which many humans do not enjoy. If you do not do your job, you will no longer have a job, and this will lead to you not having a place to sleep. You will have to face stress if you do do your job. According to the National Parks Traveler website, in 2013, National Park visitors spent a total of nearly $15 billion in local gateway communities while visiting National Park Service lands. According to a news release on the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources’ website, fishing provides 40,000 jobs to the Minnesota workforce. According to an informative hunting pamphlet titled “Hunting In America” on the National Shooting Sports Foundation website, fishing provides $640 million a year in tax revenue, and 2.8 billion in direct annual expenditures. Hunting provides $1.4 billion in tax revenues. In 2011 $38.3 billion dollars were spent by hunters.These facts show that nature also benefits humans
