I'm going to be telling you why i think someone should study the holocaust and the diary of anne frank. The Holocaust is one of the most learned about events in history. The question is, why do we learn about it? We choose to keep the horrors of the Holocaust fresh in our minds and the minds of our children to keep it from ever happening again. The United Nations was formed to keep another World War from happening. We study the Holocaust so that we can identify the early stages of genocide and stop it before it starts. We put so much effort studying history to keep it from repeating itself.
The play version of The Diary Of Anne Frank is a play about a young girl and her family hiding from the Nazi’s in fear of being taken to a concentration camp during World War 2. In this play, Anne must adjust to life and growing up in hiding while living with seven other people. While the play is still very popular and enjoyed, there is also a more recent version of this story that is told through a movie to share this story in a more modern way and to appeal to more. In this movie, the audience watches Anne go through the struggles of adjusting to life in hiding and living with a large group of people. Although the play and the movie versions of The Diary Of Anne Frank do have some differences in storytelling and dialogue, both stories have the same conflicts, setting, characters, and life lessons.
This would happen to be my report on what happened to Anne and her family while World War II was in action once it was converted to a play and a movie format. I'm sure they both these versions are much less graphic than Anne and her family saw it. I just hope Anne feels that they do her story justice. Both the play and film version of The Diary of Anne Frank focus on Anne Frank and her family's experiences in hiding. However, there are some similarities, including how Anne hands out presents to her family members and the other people in the Annex, and some differences, such as Anne and Peter's relationship and, Margot and Peter's relationship.

In the end, the real main question is why. Why do we study the Holocaust? We study it for so many reasons. We study it so we remember all the tragic events, from the murdering of the Jews to the liberation of death camps. Also this defineing moment in history lets us see how rasicim effected everything. Not only in Germany with the Nuremberg Laws, but here as well with the Jim Crow Laws. WWII did help us out of The Great Depression though. But the most important reason as to why we study this is so we know the signs, so it will never happen again. No one should ever want this to repeat. It was tragic all around. Thats why kids world wide will alwats study about the Holocaust.
The Holocaust was an terrible event that happened from 1933 to 1945. Approximately eleven million people were killed by the Nazis. A genocidal policy was passed by Adolf Hitler after he became the leader of Germany in 1933. His goal was to get rid of all the Jews in Europe and those who are considered in his "undesirable" list. As countries such as Italy, Japan, and Austria units with Germany and became the Axis Powers, they started invading and taking over other countries around them in Europe. I believe there are reasons that can explain why we still study about the Holocaust today.
We learn about the Holocaust because we don't want another mass genocide like the Holocaust to happen again. We can stop it earlier on so that millionsof people who don't deserve to die are killed. We can also take care of people who try to do anything like the Holocaust. We also learn about the Holocaust because it's a very important part of history. We learn about how many people lost their lives due to one person who didn't like that certain race.
The Holocaust is a very important time in history. With many other time periods and events, the Holocaust was quite gruesome. Five to six millions Jews were killed, making it a mass genocide. The topic of teaching the Holocaust to middle school students is a controversy that has been argued for a longevity. Many think the subject should not be taught, but there is the big question: Why not? The Holocaust should be taught to middle school students, especially eighth graders, with the thought that it was very real, the other advantages learned, and the things the teachers need to know.

The Holocaust gained it's foodhold because we didn't know what was happening so we remained silent. A lot of the suffering and pain could've been prevented if we had simply realized what was going on. Another one of Edmund's quotes is that, "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." That is why we must learn and know about the Holocaust so that we do not repeat our mistakes of the past.
