Explain Why Juveniles Should Be Tried As Adults

Crime has risen and fallen over many years; not only have adult crimes become more common but so have juvenile crimes. Because of this many judges have to put some sort of sentence down, like being tried as an adult. If a juvenile is accused of a violent crime they should be tried as adults because if they do a crime once they may try to do it again, if they do a crime they may want to escalate and do a more severe crime or they may do a crime that could hurt more than one person. If this were to happen a severe punishment should be given to the assailant.

When a juvenile or someone under the age of eighteen commits a crime, sometimes they think it is fun because they got away with it. If and when they do get caught, they should be convicted as adults especially if they are caught committing: murder, rape, or are in possession of a controlled substance or drug. Some people say, “Prison changes a man”; if a juvenile goes to prison they will learn not to hurt people and become a possible asset to society while they are in prison. Even if a juvenile were not to be sentenced as an adult they should at least have to go through some kind of adult prison sentence even if they were to have parole.

Juveniles have been committing crimes for a long time and more teens are becoming

accustomed to thinking it is okay but it is not. If courts and police do not start cracking down on kids who think it would be appropriate to hurt someone or commit a serious crime then our country will become extremely dangerous. Not only will teens want to commit a crime but they may try to convince others, not necessarily a friend, to join them, which in turn hurts their “friend” and their family. If a person is caught trying to convince a friend to commit a crime with them, their sentence should be doubled for the induction of a second party.
To some people crimes can be fun and sometimes a juvenile might escalate. If a person were to kill an animal and think it was fun they would eventually want to try to kill bigger animals and thus leading them to a human target. It would be extremely dangerous for the court to let a juvenile go spend their years in a juvenile penitentiary because they would not know how losing everything in their lives would be. When they are tried as adults they would feel the full punishment of the law for murder. Life in prison for such a crime should be mandatory because even though they may be nice in prison does not mean they will be in the real world.
Everyday someone is murdered and juveniles are becoming frequently more known to do it.

Juveniles should be tried as adults because if they were taught correctly they would not go do something such as killing and even if they were brought up correctly, going to prison will make them learn really quick not to play around with something so serious. As teens are being sentenced as adults, another will murder someone they do not like, a member of their family or, even a friend. Even while that is happening, a kid has killed an animal and feeling the joy of his or her kill and is escalating. Teens should be tried as adults because it is the right thing to do, whether their family wants it or

not.
