Part A Task 1) Expectations and self-love Even though I really liked most of the quotes, there was one that really appealed to me. The quote I liked the most was the one by Richard Feynman, because it was the one I agreed the most with. I think we'd all be a lot happier if we stopped worrying about what others think we should accomplish and rather focus on what we ourselves want to do. When people have expectations for us we usually become a lot harder on ourselves and bring ourselves down for not succeeding at what others think we should succeed at. It brings us down a lot emotionally and mentally, even though we really shouldn't care this much. But the sad truth is that we value others opinions of us more than what we think of ourselves. In the text there were 6 steps to help your body image and to help you focus on things other than how you look and to help you learn that true beauty is not just skin deep. All the steps included useful advice on rather than focusing on the bad and negative sides of your body, you focus on the thing that are good about your body. It's basically a 6 step list of things to help you on your way to self acceptance. Out of all the steps I think that maybe number 6 was the best one. I liked the 6th step the most because it advices and encourages us to be activists and to actively do something to stop all the body shaming in media, which I think might be really empowering for some people. By actively doing something to change the body hate in social media will also help a lot of people instead of just one person. I think that if more people started doing this, it could possibly lead to a revolutionary change in the way we all see our bodies, body shaming in the media and social
