This paper will summarize my motivations for entering the field of social work. It will incorporate the human services delivery organizations’ needed to implement optimum employee performance. In addition it will discuss the greatest social problem of our time and provide the framework for addressing the social service organization that will use effective manners to deal with the identified social problem. We often staked out payphone waiting for someone to pick up to find out which direction to head in for a bed. We slept on floors, couches, in hotel rooms and often sharing one bed. It was hard for us to find affordable housing using human services organizations. There were many barriers that prevented us from accessing these services. We lacked what they required of applicants’ financial stability, documentation and a regular address. This example reflects on the magnitude of the importance of having societal opportunities. Currently because of the lack of societal opportunity afforded to the homeless they face a variety of barriers when seeking employment. The barriers include stagnant wage growth, limited benefits and scarce employment opportunities. Many employers are reluctant to hire individuals who are homeless they doubt there work ethics. When opportunity distribution does not accrue it will result in a lack of economic growth for this population and they will be unable to pay rental
