Hamlet’s indecisiveness and hesitation turn out to be his ultimate flaw; therefore making Hamlet a tragedy play. Hamlet himself is a scholar, an alumni from Wittenberg university, so killing to him does seem challenging.
Hamlet’s flaw perfect's when the ghost (his father) asks him to take revenge on his murderer; Claudius. Shakespeare state's, “Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder.” (I.iiiii.31). Thus putting Hamlet on the spot whether or not he should actually believe that this ghost really is his father, and take revenge on his murder. He has a tendency to let his conscious take full control of himself, so anything he tries to do, is always being held back for this reason.
