Free will is the power to choose your own actions without the constraint of fate, and the ability to choose your own destiny. Free will is what you choose to do. Romeo and juliet shows some examples of free will. Also there are some examples in the odyssey. There are also some examples of free will in everyday life.
Free will is the power to choose what happens. If you are given a choice between two things and you choose one that is free will. Free will is commonly mistaken for fate. This is because fate is free will without a choice. Fate will happen no matter what, but free will is all up to you. Romeo and juliet has some examples of free will.

Could it be the nurse and the friar for giving the two bad advice? Or would it be the families, for being filled with so much hate that they couldn’t see the love between Romeo and Juliet? Could the end result of these actions ultimately be the effect that the the star crossed lovers have caused
There are a lot of different things that come to mind when somebody thinks of the phrase Free Will, and there are some people who think that free will does not exists and that everything is already decided for you, but there are also people who believe in it and think that you are free to do as you please. Stace called “Is Determinism Inconsistent with Free Will?”, where Stace discusses why people, especially philosophers, think that free will does not exist.
The simplest description of free will, as conceived by such philosophers as David Hume, is simply that free will is, “the ability to choose an action to satisfy a desire” (Hoefer). However, modern philosophers have mostly rejected this definition because it is known that nonhuman animals also act on their wants and needs but lack the intelligence to consider their actions as free choices. A more complex assessment of free will, better differentiating between humans and animals, is that the ability of humans to choose actions flows from the relationship between their animal desires and intellects. This means that people's actions are free when they have intelligently determined the best decision to make in any situation, even if their choices conflict with what they truly want, or their base animal desires. Free will can affect one’s decision making because every individual has control over their own actions, every individual has different beliefs, and everything does not always happen according to plan.
