1.1 EVALUATE 2 APPROACHES TO SELF-MANAGED LEARNING. Self-managed learning means individuals can manage their own learning. It allows them to lead and manage themselves through learning, it will able them to continue their capabilities without being dependent on another person to teach and manage their learning. It is a development where individuals can learn new skills, knowledge and attitudes. (UK Essays, 2016) Self-managed learning is different for each person, there are various approaches to this way of learning such as learning through research, attending seminars and conferences, and using of the internet.

People attend seminars because they gain knowledge, experience and they get to learn from each other. They also get to interact and know different perspectives of other people in that field. Seminars are a good way to do self-managed learning as it would be able to learn from a wide variety of people. (eVenues, n.d.)

Using of the internet allow individuals to globally access information. The internet is a very important tool to those who want to obtain self-managed learning. A lot of knowledge could be gained through the internet since it is rich in all kinds of material which give useful information.
Best example of using the internet is Google scholar. People use Google scholar for accessing academic journals and articles which are written by experts on a diverse range of subjects. The internet allows individuals to access information written by different authors. Through self-managed learning, an individual can obtain experience on a variety of different topics that can inform the way we think about the world. (T. Saba, 2012)
