Now I don’t want to dive right in and tell you what happened right away, but first I want to give you a little background information. My parents divorced when I was ten years old and after that day my mother was never the same person again. I still love her with all of my heart but I desperately miss the mother she once was for me. I can still remember her and my father carrying me and my little brother up to bed and saying a prayer as they tucked us in for the night. That was so long ago and she is no longer that person.
I hate saying this, but my mother has become a selfish person compared to how she used to be. She started acting this way about a year or so after she started dating a man (who I will not name, but will instead call him Matt).
My mother was a complex, multi-faceted person. Many of you here today knew my mother personally, and many of you knew my mother indirectly through one of her family members. You may have known her as a coworker, a friend, or a support person. Of course, all of my mother’s family here today each knew a part of her, a “facet” of her--as a mother, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother, a cousin.
Once upon a time, a 18 year old named Juan was going to work in his father’s vegetable market. Juan always goes to help out his father no matter what. Him and his dad moved to Jerusalem from a village in Jordan. His mother had passed away from a wound infection. His father didn’t have enough money for medicine, so that’s why she died. They moved so they wouldn’t struggle anymore, and so they can live a different life. Juan is a very helpful, nice, intelligent, and had a very prodigious heart . Everyone in Juan’s village liked him, but his bullies, John and Josh, just hated him. They always bullied Juan on a daily basis just because they were jealous of how Juan was loved by everyone. While Juan was helping out his dad, Juan and Josh went to his dad’s store and Josh started to say that he and Juan’s girlfriend Emily were in love and that Emily didn’t love Juan anymore. He was just ignoring them because he knew that it wasn’t true, so he continued on working.

Eulogy for Son First, I would like to say thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and affection from our community at last night’s viewing for John. Roger at the funeral home told us this was the largest turnout he could remember. Close to 1,000 friends—and many people who were merely touched by John’s story—waited up to four hours in the rain to pay their respects. We want you to know how very grateful and very touched we were by the response.
Today, the most difficult day in my family’s life, we gather to say farewell to our son, brother, fiancé and friend. To those of you here and elsewhere who know Dylan you already are aware of the type of person he was and these words you will hear are already in your memory. To those who were not as fortunate, these words will give you a sense of the type of man he was and as an ideal for which we should strive. My son has been often described as a gentle soul. He was pure of heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. He had a way with people that made them feel comfortable around him and infected others to gravitate toward him. Dylan exuded kindness and pulled generosity and altruism out from everyone he touched. He was everyone's best friend.

On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank all of you for your compassion and for being present here today. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mauri-Lynne, and I'm Lionel's daughter. Dad was devoted to every one of you. We all hope that you'll share your memories of him with us, if not today then in the weeks and months to come.
When I was 10 years old, my father Jason Tourville died in a car accident. He fell asleep while driving up to our house in Forest Ranch. Only a week later my mother got together with one of her friends, Steven. She said she cared about my father, but she seemed to have moved on quickly. My mother had already made plans with him about the future.
I stand before you today to pay my last respects, and to say my final goodbyes, to my father Harry.
Eulogy for Son William was a very special person. His good qualities are endless. Since he was just a child, I always remember William sticking up for the family. When his sister, Lisa, was a baby, William would sit outside her room with a mask and cape on, ready to rescue her in case she started crying. And, if William’s father or I were making too much noise, he was always quick to fly downstairs and tell us to keep quiet so as not to disturb his little sister.
Where do I start? How do I begin a farewell when I still can't believe you're gone? How do I say goodbye to a part of my soul?
We started to find out really quick. We only had my grandmother and granddaddy to care for us. Months had passed but me and my siblings were still adjusting to our mom not being there anymore. At the time I never knew how important it was to have your mom around as you growing up. Soon beginning my teen years I realized how much you need your mom as you going through the changes. I will never know how the transformation from: Middle school, High School, cheer competition, Basketball games, Track meets, college, getting married, starting a family, and watching my kids grow up fell with my mom feel. My step dad took a chunk of my life and my siblings’ life away from us that we can never get back. I did forgive him but I will never forget. He taught me a life lesson. It is to never let my guard down. Protect the ones that are close to you from harm ways. Growing from this I encourage myself to make a difference in the world. I kept a smile on my face not showing any of hurt nor the things I been through since I was born. I am now attending college away from home studying Associate of Science-criminal justice. Although I could not control what happened to my mom. My goal is to make sure it will not happen to anyone
Before I begin I would like to thank all of you here on behalf of my mother, my brother and myself, for your efforts large and small to be here today, to help us mark my fathers passing.
Sometimes it just takes one event to forever change your outlook on life. One such event happened to me when I was only 5 years old. My day started out as most 5yr olds growing up in the south in the late 60’s, only I was a bit different because unlike my neighborhood friends, my mom was 55yrs old. My mother gave birth to me when she was 50 years old and I was the youngest of 8 children, most of which were grown with children of their own when I came along. My mother spoiled me rotten, she was very attentive to my every demand. And I mostly demanded cereal, Rice Krispies only! My mother wasn’t very playful with me (what 55yr old would be?) but I felt her love. She would not let me out of her sight, she was always there, until one day she wasn’t. I woke up that morning in my mother’s bed as I often did, and I shook her to wake her up as I always did, only this time the shaking wasn’t working. I remember yelling for my siblings to come wake mommy up, I needed my Rice Krispies! Only instead of waking her up they began yelling and screaming and calling people on the phone. What’s going on? It’s not that serious, just get mommy up! I saw men in white shirts running into the house and then leaving with my mother on a stretcher. I didn’t
It was around 2:00pm and it was time to open presents. I started with opening friend’s presents then I opened families. I was finally done opening all my presents. I looked around at all the people, who were looking at me and my dad was nowhere to be. That was the only present that I was looking forward too. The party ended and my dad didn’t show up, my little four years old hopes were in the ground, it was like I could feel my heart ripping appart. I looked at my mom and she mouthed I’m sorry, my faced turned rosy red and my eyes filled with tears. From that moment on my life was never the same. It was a dark cloudy day and I was going to see my dad. We were playing the game Sorry and he was winning. I was the yellow player and he was the green player, he was laughing and smiling the whole time. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my Friday afternoon any other way. When the game was over he asked me to clean up the game while he went out to smoke a cig. When he entered the room and the game wasn’t picked up, he went crazy. His eyes seemed to turn a dark almost black color. It was like he was a completely different person when he came back
