In instances of a bomb threat, it is best to evacuate the area, stay off cell phones and radios, and wait for the fire department or bomb disposal unit to arrive. This incident was not a threat but a bombing on a public street in Boston, MA., followed by a shootout on another public street in Watertown, MA., and finally ended on private property in Watertown, MA.
On April 15, 2013, two bombs made out of pressure cookers that were packed with shrapnel were hidden in backpacks and left at the finish line of the 117th Boston Marathon by Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
