Why should we be moral?
I can remember being told in high school that “having good morals was important”. I can also remember trying to figure out how to be ‘moral”. I know now that I shouldn't have had any response because I had no idea what the word moral actually meant. Like most, it is a word I know but it is hard define it. The purpose of this essay is to answer the age old question, “Should we be moral”. My answer is simple. Yes, we should be moral. I will explain why we should be moral and then I'm going to give an opinion to my spot. First, though, I need a meaning of moral on which to state my position.
What does moral mean? Merriam Webster defines moral as “concerning or relating to what is right and wrong in human behavior.” Morals split actions and thoughts into good or bad. A good behavior is moral, a bad behavior is immoral.
