Have you ever wondered why NFL athletes get paid to play a sport, but college athletes don’t?
College athletes should not get paid to play a sport because they are playing for the love of the game. Many athletes get scholarships or benefits to play a sport in the first place which means that they don’t need any more money. Sports should be a reward for good grades and only players that really love the sport should play it. Any athlete should just play the sport for fun and not money. It’s way too difficult to pay a college athlete because each athlete plays differently. College athletes should defiantly be paid because they are not only putting their lives at risk, but they are also entertaining people. College sports are much more intense than pro sports, because college sports don’t seem to be as rigged as pro sports may be. The sport and practices that each athlete's goes through could prevent them from getting a full-time job during college, which means an athlete should get paid to play a sport. Any college athlete has a very high chance of being severely injured as a pro athlete does too. Anything that a pro athlete goes through a college athlete can go through as well.
