The positive economic impact of tourism in Morocco is huge. According to glObserver, a market research company, Morocco will have an estimated 14 million visitors bringing in $8.8 billion in annual revenues by the end of 2016 (Morocco Tourism Profile 2012). It does not seem like the inflow of money will slow down anytime soon. Foreign investments have been pouring into Morocco’s tourism sector and international hotel chains are building large resorts across the country. Development is occurring along the coast of Morocco in particular. This will draw real estate investors looking to gain exposure to the tourism and property markets. While it is positive that investment money is flowing into the country, much of the profits being made are escaping Morocco because foreign hotels are sending the earnings home to their country of origin. Due to the recent increase in tourism, foreign airlines are increasing the number of routes into the country. In addition to the real estate investments, there are other factors contributing to the influx of money entering Morocco. Morocco has a high level of literacy in addition to strong government support for the hospitality industry; these factors should contribute to the tourism industry growing for years to come in Morocco (Morocco Tourism Profile 2012). As well as the tourism industry is doing in Morocco, not everything is working well. Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air is in dire financial straits. The airline loses money on a monthly basis due to the high cost of fuel and labor. Several low cost carriers have stepped in to compete with Royal Air and expand the tourism industry despite Royal Air’s economic troubles.

...pacts to their environment due to the increase in tourism. The increase of tourism is taking a toll on the water supply in Morocco. Morocco naturally has very low renewable water supply. Large hotels, which include huge pools and fancy golf courses, require a gigantic amount of water in order to operate. Often times, this leaves civilians close by with little or no running water. While most residents of urban areas have access to running water, many people in rural areas do not have access. However the Moroccan government is trying to act in order to preserve their environment. One way Morocco is proactive in protecting its environment is through its planting programs. Every year, two million palm trees are planted and distributed throughout the south with an aim to deter the effects of the developing golf courses and hotels (Environment & Ethical Tourism.).
Tourism is considered as one of the main sources of revenue for Cuba. Every year Cuba attracts over 2 million people. This island is home to beautiful beaches and colonial architecture.
Resort destinations can be wonderful places to relax and get away from the stressors of everyday life, however, resorts can also cause major degradation to the environment if environmental planning is not considered in a resorts decision-making process. Hotel Punta Islita Luxury Resort in Costa Rica, a well-known eco-friendly hotel shown in Figure 1, puts in a significant amount of effort ensure that their premises are run in a sustainable way. Punta Islita opened in 1994, and immediately became a leader in sustainability, contributing most of its earnings into the local area and supporting wildlife programs that help protect sea turtle eggs (The Lodge, 2018). This paper aims to investigate ways which Dubai have used to attract globalization and develop their tourism industry. Dubai put tourism at the core of its economic development plans in order to diversify and strengthen its economy, while decreasing its dependency on fluctuating oil prices (Sharpley 2008). The plans have been successful; in 2007, non-oil revenues contributed to 63% of GDP, with Dubai contributing 29%, to the UAE’s total GDP. What is more surprising is that due to Dubai’s push to use tourism to diversify its economy, Dubai contributes over 80% of the non-oil related GDP in the UAE. Dubai is now considered one of the top tourist destinations in the world. In 2011, Dubai’s top tourist source markets outside the UAE were Saudi Arabia, India, UK, Iran, and the US.

Morocco is a tourist destination with much promise. When considering the future prospects of Morocco as a destination it is important to consider not only the positive impacts of tourism but also the negative impacts. These impacts can be broken down into the three categories: Economic, socio-cultural, and environmental.
Pakistan has tremendous potential for tourism by virtue of its long rich history, cultural diversity, geo-strategic position and captivating landscapes that stretches from the high Himalayas, Karakorum’s and the Hindu Kush ranges with their alpine meadows and permanent snow line , coniferous forests down the sub mountain scrub in the north ,attracting those interested in winter sports. The north part of Pakistan has many old fortresses, ancient architecture and the Hunza and Chitral valley, home to small pre-Islamic Animist Kalash people community. To the south Pakistan has vast alluvial delta of the Indus plain, merging in to the great desert, the coast line and wet lands. Pakistan remains ta land of high adventure and nature.
Asia has gone from just 45 golf courses in 1970 to over 500 today (TED Case Studies, 1997). The rapid increase in development also brings a rapid increase in ecological problems. In Southwest Asia ecological apathy includes greens carved out of paddy fields and virgin forests. Development of golf courses also entails clearing vegetation, cutting forests and creating artificial landscapes. These activities lead to land erosion and block the soils ability to retain water (Klein, 1996). Golf courses also need large quantities of pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides, which cause health problems among golfers, workers, and nearby residents. Unfortunately, these numerous problems are overlooked by developers who are often supported by the Asian governments due to the economic rewards from the sport. The low green fees in Asia have increased tourism to these courses as well as increasing the temptation for further golf course development.

Anthropology and Tourism: A Sociological Comparison There are multiple similarities and differences between anthropology and tourism. Similar because they both involve observing the culture of another society, but different in how it is conducted and how it can affect people. Anthropology is meant to be respectful, ask for permission, and make sure that there is no obstruction of boundaries. The main goal of anthropology is to research and understand the way people do things and how the society works. Tourism, on the other hand, can be seen as obtrusive and offensive to the host’s culture.
We talked about the first type which is the economic effect on the local community and the second type that is the social effect on the host community. In this part of our essay we will represent the last kind of effect on the local community by tourism. It is the environment effect on the local community. Tourism has positive and negative aspects in term of its impact on the host community. First point, tourism can help to protect the environment through reinvest some of profits, that generated by tourism, to the preservation of local environment and make it popular destination for holidays. However, it can cause pollution and damage in the environment through overuse of natural resources, such as water supply, beaches and coral reef. It also account for increased pollution through traffic emissions and littering. Additionally, tourist accommodations in general dump waste and sewage into seas and rivers. Second point, it might reduce some problems such as over-fishing by creating another source of employment. According to Tourism Concern, tourism account for more than eight per cent of jobs in the world wide and there are approximately two hundred million people work in the tourism sector on all sides of the world. (Tourism Concern, 2004). As a result a lot of people will abandon works in fishing and deforestations and tend to works in tourism industrialization. On the adverse side, it can harm the environment through polish off grass cover, harmful to wildlife and forests and grave local habitats. (BBC,
