Political, Social, and Economic effects of World War I

World War 1 was part of the most defining moments in American history. This paper will evaluate the social, political and economic cause and effects of World War 1. Besides being the first world war in history and when countries first started creating allies, this war was a pivotal moment in our worlds history. World War I lasted from 1914 to 1918. I will illustrate not only how our country was affected but also every other country that was involved and how they dealt with either the defeat or victory of the war. This defining moment in history changed the world forever.

There were many events and different occasions that happened to help lead towards World War I. For this war to start it wasn’t just one event and then all hell broke loose. Otto von Bismarck was the Prime Minister of Prussia. Bismarck had policies the brought caused 3 European wars, which eventually resulted in the unification of Germany. ... to a wartime basis easier than it otherwise would have been,' writes Rockoff. 'Real plant and equipment were added, and because they were added in response to demands from other countries already at war, they were added precisely in those sectors where they would be needed once the U.S. entered the war.” (Lozada) The ultimate effect was not good but it is inevitable to avoid because of how our economy is structured.

World War I had so many effects on so many different people. For the most point a lot of them being negative because when you think about it what good really comes out of a war where millions of people are dying. Between all the economic, social and political effects they have changed the U.S. forever. Besides the death and destroying the economy I feel World War I did make our country stronger and definitely gave us a name through out the world.
