In the 70s, there was a lot of new inventions and ideas that the world uses today. The 70s weren’t just the time for hippies & the economy but different creations that inspired inventions later on. People often rely on some inventions for a long time, others not so much. These, however still have permanent effects on the U.S.
The first microprocessor came out in the 1970s. A microprocessor an integrated circuit that contains all the functions of a central processing unit of a computer. The video game era blooms. This is how arcades became more popular because video games were hard to make at first. The very first console came out which allowed people to sit at home on their sofa. The first digital watch came out, or the liquid crystal display. A liquid crystal display is a form of visual display used in electronic devices in which a layer of a liquid crystal is sandwiched between two transparent electrodes. …show more content…

This made online communication much easier. The email would shoot out as you pressed send, and the person would receive and could reply quickly. The meaning of email is messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network. The digital camera came out, and people could now show different things with an actual picture. A digital camera is a camera that records and stores digital images. This helped made taking photos a lot easier, and no one had to carry around the huge contraptions that were then cameras. One of the most important things was the pocket calculator. A pocket calculator is a battery-powered electronic device used to perform simple arithmetic calculations upon data input. This made it a lot easier to do math in stores, such as saying something is 20% off, someone can pull out this calculator. Or if someone is doing their taxes. In schools, this made it easier for students to make sure their answers were correct. These are still very important to the world
