Hair care is a term for hygeine and cosmetology involving the hair which grows from the human scalp, and to a lesser extent facial, pubic and other body hair. Hair care is usually differ according to an individual’s culture and the physical characteristics of one’s hair. Personal hygiene or cleanliness in the home or school has nothing to do with getting head lice but it is spread when you contact with one anothers’ clothing such as hats, scarves, coats, or other personal items like combs, brushes, or towels used by an infected person. Personal hygeine includes cleaning all areas of your body on a daily or regular basis to keep up with your appearance. It is more than just staying clean – it can affect your self esteem and how others view and treat you. (J. Boahlke, 2016) Head lice are common problems that usually affects aged-children and their families. They can attach to the hair of anyone’s head. It doesn’t matter if the hair is clean or dirty. Head lice are also found world wide in all different places. Lice are of course uncomfortable to live with. They might even increase your immunity and help you build a natural immune response to the more dangerous body louse, which has been known to transmit serious disease. (AAP, 2016) Therefore, parents are using a shampoo to eradicate head lice where in they’re not sure with the chemicals that can be applied to iritate skin or the scalp.
