Essay On Parapsychology

Parapsychology is the study of unusual events commonly associated with human experience. It is scientific and scholarly compared to the “Psychic” you may see on the street corner. Parapsychology is also not the study of ET or UFO’s. Parapsychologists are often wrongly referred to as psychics because that is what comes up when you search for one in the phone book. However, parapsychologists do study psychics. These scientists use human experiences such as extras sensory perception (ESP) psychokinesis, out of body experience, near death experience and reincarnation to study the supernatural world. These paranormal activities are studies through psychics.

Extra sensory perception, referred to as “ESP”, is obtaining information through senses beyond the typical human five senses. Such examples of ESP include telepathy, precognition, remote viewing, and déjà vu. Telepathy is basically the communication between two or more persons or things without actual sound. A form of this called tele-empathy is commonly thought to be present between identical twins and sometimes fraternal twins. “My wife and I are very close so she understood that she had these terrible pains in her chest. She wondered, though, why her legs below the knees were swollen and hurt badly,” (Anders Tele-empathy Sec.). This quote by Rich Anders helps to pass the message that tele-empathy is real and that it is not exclusive to only twins, but that it can happen between any two people who are very close in relation. A story of this includes a young girl living in Yugoslavia during World War II was accompanied by a body guard at all times. He was blown up. Conclusively, I believe that these paranormal acts could be true, but I know of no other ways to prove these theories other than these methods that Parapsychologists use to study the abnormal world. These research topics have answered my question and made it clear to me what exactly Parapsychologists do and how they can prove the paranormal world real or not.
