Recommended: Why is voting important

My responsibility to The United States of America, is to pay taxes so the government has money to pay for things like roads and utilities, to vote and encourage others to vote so the outcome of what we’re voting on is truly Democratic, and to consider the future generations so that they aren’t in a situation where the economy is falling apart. One of my big responsibilities to America is to vote at every chance I have so I can vote for and to encourage other eligible voters to vote. This is important to me and America because voting turnouts are around half in the United States depending on what’s being voted on which means only the people who actually go out and vote on things decide where the counties going leaving the other half out of decisions which destroys the point of a democratic government. I will commit this responsibility by voting on state laws and for presidential elections whenever possible in the future. This is important for me, The United States of America, and the future of The United States, because although I could only consider my brief lifetime on this planet, millions more people will live here in the future years and centuries, and they depend on the choices of me and others around me, because, if we make selfish decisions not considering this country's future, in a 100 maybe 200 years this country could be in an awful state and possibly not exist at all, meaning my nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren will never be able to experience being American as it is now. Committing to this responsibility is very important and I will do it by making non selfish decisions, investing in the future, and staying green to keep the world from being an environmental hell hole for the future
