Traveling can be a broadening experience. An experience I encountered was a learning experience of currency when I traveled to Mexico with my family. I learned the “peso” when I wanted to use the bathroom and needed to go bad. My mother took me and she didn’t know about the “peso” either. We asked to use the bathroom and the Mexican man told us it cost two pesos for toilet paper. It shocked me that we had to pay for toilet paper because back home using the bathroom was free! We then went to a currency exchange booth and traded our American dollars for pesos. They gave us these bills that were the color of red and blue. The bills also had different faces of Mexican people on it. My father explained that our money was worth so much more in Mexico than it was in the …show more content…

I’m in love with Mexican tacos so being in Mexico was like being in taco heaven! Being an eight-year-old, I thought if we were to move to Mexico we could be rich! Another experience I had was taking a taxi in Las Vegas! In our small town, with a population of only 2,000 people in it, you didn’t need a ride anywhere because everything is in walking distance. In Vegas we surely needed a to take a taxi. Seeing the price go up for every mile we took would be a lot of money when we reached our destination. By the time we got to the Las Vegas strip, we had to pay thirty dollars. Our transportation was way different than Vegas’. In Vegas, I also experienced the Vegas strip as a kid and all the drunk people walking the strip at night. I loved all the shiny lights all on the strip. Colors of bright white, blue, and red were some of the main colors for the lights. Scary drunk men who yelled at people as they walked by were irrelevant and crazy! In our small town, we didn’t have lights to see like that unless it was a Christmas festival on the main street and we would never see drunk people on the streets like
