Decora fashion trend originated in the late 1990s-2000s in and outside of Japan. I don’t consider fashion a rebellion against traditions or customs, but why Decora such a big issue/topic in Japan. The Decora community gets criticized for how they look and what

For example, when we the “normal” people as many of us call ourselves wear and do the things we like, our bodies fill up with excitement and we feel fantastic. The same thing happens in the Decora community. They want to experience those emotions we get when we do the things we love. But just like the rest of the world, they go through hard times. As a matter of fact, if you look up pictures or videos of people who practice Decora you can see that most of the time they’re happy and content. Sadly, due to our society’s stereotypes and certain definitions of beauty, they get judged and discriminated most of the time, which causes them to feel ashamed and insecure about themselves. Gladly friendship is not rare in the world of …show more content…
Rather than damaging Japan’s image, it’s showing the rest of the world how they’re supposed to “act”. Decora respects the laws and traditions Japan has. For example when it comes to the strict policy Japan has with uniforms; those who actually do Decora do it when school time over. You don’t see them in the streets demonstrating illegal behavior or killing citizens. Not to mention, when do you see the Decora community protesting against Japan’s rules? Decora does not consist of manipulating people into doing something they do not want. Instead, it promotes self-love and freedom of expression. Everyone is welcomed to join Decora community if they feel that’s is the best for
Hardships from hostile experiences can lead to the degradation of one's mental and physical state, breaking down their humanity. Wilfred Owen's struggles with the Great War has led to his detailed insights on the state of war, conveying his first-hand experiences as a front-line soldier. 'Dulce et Decorum Est' and 'Insensibility' displays these ideas and exposes the harsh and inhumane reality of war. From the imagery and metaphors, Owen's ideas about the deterioration of human nature resonates with the reader of the repercussions of war.

The casta paintings were a series of paintings that represent different racial mixtures between the Spaniards and Indians or mestizos, Spaniards and Blacks or mulattos, and Blacks and Indians or zambos. Often, the structure of a casta paintings was that it consisted of a large painting with many individual squares with smaller paintings. The purpose of the casta paintings was to establish a racial hierarchy. For instance, those from wealthier backgrounds were placed on top, and those who were impoverished were placed lower in the painting. The speakers in Vitai Lampada and Dulce et Decorum Est see different gains from war. In Vitai Lampada the first stanza the playing of cricket is a foreshadowing of a battlefield and when “Play up! play up! and play the game!” is used at the end(146). It signifies how the soldiers need to carry on to impress the captain or country at war for the title of bravery. In Dulce et Decorum Est the speaker sees the bravery of war as a futile act when he clearly describes the agonizing physical and mental pain such as dying from choking on your own blood (147). Clearly, dying of such kind is neither brave nor honorable but melancholy.

Seemingly static in appearance, to the untrained eye, Egyptian Art is somewhat formal and blocky, with very little to no naturalism; in opposition to ancient western art such as Greek and Roman artistic traditions. (Neer, 2012) However, Egyptian Art serves a purpose that celebrates the afterlife as well as appreciating life. Egyptian visual imagery expressed animals not in the typically assumed static and rigid form, but in naturalistic dynamism that is largely ignored in general Egyptian Art scholarship. Ancient Egyptian art endures a steady artistic tradition and despite various changes and modification in style occurred during the 3,000 years pharaohs ruled; they are recognizably Egyptian in origin. What was wholly unique was the artistic
To clearly understand the correlation between abnormalities of cilia and cardiovascular pathology, knowing the mechanism behind mechanosensory role of cilia is crucial. A few mechanisms have been proposed [5, 91]. We have already discussed the mechanism involving down-regulation of surviving in formation of aneurysm. Another mechanism involves polycystin-1 and polycystin-2, an 11 transmembrane protein with a long extracellular domain and a cation channel with 6 transmembrane domains respectively. Endothelial cells without cilia were isolated from Tg737 mice to examine the mechanosensory role of cilia. To confirm polycystin-1 and polycystin-2 as mechanosensory proteins, endothelial cells were collected from PKD mice and human patients. Polycystins are absent in the cilia of these cells and present in Tg737 mice cells, but localized at the base of clilia.
The mysterious smile of the painting Mona Lisa and her tenderness directly carry my imagination to the Renaissance era. Before the Renaissance liberated the thought of the public, most artworks focused to eulogize the holiness of God. The Renaissance successfully freed people from the shackles of theology and affirmed the value of human beings. Mona Lisa represented the highest art level of the Renaissance and became an important legacy for later generations to feel the spirit of the Renaissance. In this paper, I argue that Mona Lisa was a representative artwork of the humanism spirit of the Renaissance. The artist Da Vinci who created Mona Lisa managed to express the charm of human beings with delicate brushwork, exquisite expressions and

Interior design is a complicated profession. It is sometimes referred to as interior architecture and often confused with interior decorating. It involves the design, organization and planning of an interior structure rather than just refinishing and furnishing existing interior spaces. It involves managing a business, hopefully meeting the desires of the client and delivering to them an interior environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. There is a lot more to interior design than first meets the eye.
