History of Apples:
One of the most popular fruits are Apples. Apples are a common snack that is extremely healthy for you. Apples are also known as, Malus Domestica. Apple trees originally were founded in Central Asia. After finding apples in the Centralized area, they eventually spread all throughout Asia. When the settlers from Europe traveled to America, this is when the Apple trees become introduced to the United States. (nps.gov). As the folks would say in the Northeastern area, is that Johnny Appleseed first introduced Apple trees to the area (OhioHistoryCentral). There are many different apples that can be grown in all shapes and sizes. Apples also come in colors such as red, green, and yellow.

Apple Propagation:
The Apple tree is easy to grow and can be propagated many ways. As many people know, fruit trees in general take many years to just grow, and eventually to produce fruit. If you decide to grow Apple trees by seeds, they will take many years to grow. By planting seedlings, it means that you will not get any fruit for about 5 years. Depending on how soon you want your fruit, would determine if you want to go with planting seeds. Hardwood cutting, rootstock, micropropagation, layering, budding and grafting, are also ways to propagate Apples. The most common way of propagating Apples is by budding and grafting (Plant Propagation Book p. 743). The way that I am going to describe how to do is going to be the whip and tongue graft (ndsu.edu).
Procedure:
Materials Needed: The first materials that you need to gather is the stock and scion needed to do the graft. The next materials you need to have are cutters, a kni...

After Wrapping the Graft: Once you have wrapped the graft, one option to let your graft grow is to put it in moss to keep it moist. You can keep the moss and the graft in a plastic bag for about 2 weeks to see if the graft catches.

Conclusion: Apple Trees are very great to grow at home. They will continue to grow every year and hopefully produce great fruit. There are many ways to propagate Apples, but the one that will give you the quickest production of fruit would be by grafting. This is because there is already a rootstock ready to start growing. Apples will continue to be one of the most popular and healthiest fruits, and would be a great asset to any home.
The house is surrounded by green grass which makes the image more realistic and the trees in the background and the tree in the foreground create a sense of depth. The image is quite well spaced out, due to a vast amount of area situated between objects. There is a visual equality in the symmetrical image. There is a contrast between the colours of the image to draw attention to the house. The image looks to be taken in the dusk of the afternoon, where there is not much natural light, which creates a darker tone. The main emphasis of the image is the house, which seems to be quite different when the image is first seen by a viewer. The texture helps emphasize the main focal point seeing though it is quite smooth, the colour also creates a mood towards the image and atmosphere in the image. The line helps develop structure due to the tone being a medium darkness. In some places (the area surrounding the house) is a degree lighter and shadows are present to help form the line throughout this part of the
Tree itself is already a very commonly used symbol in many places, it symbolize sheltering, evocative of enternity, rooted in earth and reaching up to the sky and many more. In this book however, it focoused on the growing of the tree, we all know that it takes a lot of time for a tree to grow, likewise, it took a long time for melinda to speak up and face the truth. Moreover, this drawing of the tree is representing the mind growth ofMelinda, for inctense, the drawing was poorly done at the beggining, Melinda’s presure and her life is weighting her down, as the drawing gets better throghout the school year, Melinda’s strength and mind set is getting better too. If the tree ment sheltering, then Melinda sure developed a very nice shelter for herself in the
The print of art is a Hiroshige, Plum Garden at Kameido, 1857, woodblock print. The print shows a calm and peaceful color of a regular day. The background consists of wash colors like reddish-pink that fades into white, and transfers once more in a green hue of the greenish ground. The image is showing a view of a several plum trees, with the stems, the flower, and the people on the other side of the fence. This work has a light pink background symbolizing the sunset and warm colors of the spring. The middle ground in the light white color shows the piece where there are people on the other side of the fence and appears to be walking around the garden or going throughout their daily business. The middle ground also has a view of several plum trees, which all of them seem to be inside of the fence. The focal point of the piece is the main plum tree with its branches swinging from the left at a sharp angle and moving to the right.
Another difference lies in the position and shape of the tree itself. In Their Eyes, “the gold of the sun”, “t...
Through her masterful usage of color and lighting, painter Alexis Rockman seeks to display the overwhelming beauty of the natural world and its inhabitants in her painting Kapok Tree. With a color scheme of bright colors that pops out and grab the attention of the viewer and an emphasis on lighting that divides the painting into two separate scenes, Rockman’s Kapok Tree delivers its timeless message with ease.
3. Chapter 1, page 5, #3: “Moving through the soaked, coarse grass I began to examine each one closely, and finally identified the tree I was looking for by means of certain small scars rising along its trunk, and by a limb extending over the river, and another thinner limb growing near it.
In this paper I will discuss the print called Plum Garden at Kameido. This print was created by Ando Hiroshige in 1857. It is a woodblock print. In the front of the print is a close up of a tree. It is an image of a plum tree in a plum garden. The tree has pretty white blooms on it. For this reason it is logical to assume that it must be springtime. Working back, I see two more plum trees. None of the trees have much detail of the bark texture. I can see that if these trees are true to life, Plum trees are not very shapely trees. Behind the second row of trees is what appears to be an iron fence with people standing at various points along the fence. The fence line angles back to show a third row of trees in the distance. Green grass can be seen in much of the fenced in area highlighting the fact that it is a garden.
The structure of this print is almost like looking at an architectural

Alexis Rockman traveled the world, and used his travels as inspiration for his paintings. He painted the Kapok Tree after visiting Guyana, a country in South America. This painting beautifully depicts a tree in the rainforest. He addresses the fact that there are so many problems in society that are being overlooked. People do not realize their importance in changing things for good. Not only do we have the ability to cause change, it is our responsibility because we are the root of all the problems. Alexis Rockman frames the Kapok Tree in such a way that the audience notices the vibrantly colored lifeforms at the bottom and then he draws a line, with the tree, up to the dark sky showing how there is so much more to this world than we first realize.
