If you don't know what Coldplay is well, Coldplay is four men very passionate in music and so they created a band called coldplay. Every one loves their music like me. I love there song attention and when I got to know the history of it it amazed me.
An interesting fact about Coldplay is that before they were a band and there were only Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland they named their small band Pectoralz. When Guy berryman joined their small band they didn't keep the name and changed it to Starfish. didn’t create the name Coldplay. The name they came up with was Starfish. Well it didn’t last for long because when another band called Coldplay didn’t want there namer anymore Starfish took the name and changed it to Coldplay. The name Coldplay comes from a poetry book called Childs Reflections, Cold play. I thought that all of that

It's amazing what music can do to you. But only some types of music like for example Coldplay. In 2000 they released a song called Sliver. It was in the album of Parachutes. The song Shiver was released in march of 2000. Shiver was the first single from Parachutes. Shorty after Shiver was released the song made it to number thirty five on England's music chart. Weirdly it was not Shiver that caught their attention it was “Yellow” that was in number one spot. “Yellow” was released in June of 2000, the song became an immediate hit in both England and the United States. That's when Coldplay had moved from England to the United States. They were thrilled with their newly found internet success. All of the radio stations from all across the country played their songs. In 2001 during their visit to live 105, a rock radio station. They showed buckland the station's playlist and yellow was first on the
The Dave Matthews Band has been a musical power house for years. They have meshed together almost every type of music together to create their extremely unique sounds and attractiveness towards their music. Dave Matthews, lead singer and guitarist from South Africa has put together a band that no one will ever be able to create again. Dave picked four extremely talented and unique sounding men to join his band and together they have created some amazing music. The members of the band include Stefan Lessard on bass, Boyd Tinsley on violin, Leroi Moore on saxophone and one of the best drummers in the world, Carter Beauford. Together these men will one day leave behind a similar reputation as one of the all time greatest "jam" bands of time.
The Beatles consisted of four talented men: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Richard Starkey. They had met at all different times and had one thing in common. They all loved music. McCartney, Lennon and Harrison all played guitar and Starkey, also known as Ringo Starr, played the drums. They started out as The Quarry Men, but eventually they changed the name to The Beatles. They played a lot together over the years and at many different places. They started out as a “teenybopper” band, as Russell Gibb put it. They were like the Jonas Brothers of the fifties. When they made their way to America, they became more popular. Gibb also noted that they grew up with their fans. They did well all through the sixties, but around 1965 tension gre...
Phish has inherited the legacy of the Grateful Dead. A responsibility that includes: playing a different set every night, constant jamming and experimenting. Phish is trailed across the country by adoring fans that think their heroes can do no wrong. What makes them so special is that their music winds together. It is full of freedom and happiness. Their lyrics are totally original; they have this weird way of looking at the world and when they express this in their songs it takes you to a whole different level of thinking.
They were the first group to heavily tour the United States and sporadically tour the rest of the world. This occurred because there was a lack of interest in them Britain. Their success was due to their manager Peter Grant. Peter was able to keep the group moving from place to place and kept the people interested in them. Peter thought that they would work every other year so they would stay in demand. While they were working on their first movie featuring them. This movie was of the group playing their music, which was called, “The Song Remains Playing.”
This essay will explore the connections that can be drawn between classical music -such as baroque, and romantic eras- and the genre of heavy metal. The essay will hopefully show why heavy metal is more technically similar to works by classical composers than any other genre of music. It will also discuss three main aspects about heavy metal's relationship with social and political events, such as how classical music enjoys the recognition of high art status, where as heavy metal does not, yet a significant connection can be made; how heavy metal is regarded as musically illiterate, but studies suggest otherwise; and how both genres of music punctuate intense emotions through dramatic instrumentation.
The Beatles accomplished many things in their career, and they were very influential to the music industry. They were the first known band to achieve world-wide fame, and their name as the best rock icon still remains untouched today. (All Music) To this day, The Beatles still are releasing old unreleased music to keep the fandom going.
I believe in music’s ability to transform one’s mood. Every time I turn on my iTouch or listen to a song on YouTube my mood becomes that of the song’s regardless of how I originally felt, be it happy, sad, angry, or whatever. If I were to put on music by Jeffree Star my mood would instantly become more happy and upbeat. Bullet for My Valentine, on the other hand, would transform my emotions into rage. Play Everlast and I too would be singing the blues. It happens to me every time and I have witnessed it happen to others as well, particularly at concerts.
... in Amityville in 2009 when they opened for Rise Against. Dan Campbell, the singer, gave everyone a free copy of their album just to get their name out there. They are now at the peak of the pop punk genre by selling thousands of albums, playing the main stage at Warped Tour and headlining a show at Best Buy Theater this April. Bands that make this sacrifice and eventually make it to a successful level deserve the natural rush music gives them.
This study demonstrated that pop music influences happiness mood. As hypothesized participants in the pop music category were influence by the music and seem happier. The analysis revealed that participants in the rock and classical music categories didn’t have an effect in their mood. The results for rock and classical music did not supported the hypothesis, which rock music causes a person to have an aggressive mood, and classical music will lead to a calmer mood. The data support the primacy effect pop music results supported the hypothesis that pop music leads to a happier mood. The results from this data support from previous literature research such as the pop category. The results could also interpret as support for (Hargreaves, 1999). People make their music preferences based on the emotional state they are in (Hargreaves, 1999). The analysis revealed that pop music scored higher than students who had rock or classical. The implications for this study are to examine if music influence mood in a negative or positive aspect). As an outcome happiness mood correlated with pop music . There wasn’t no effect between rock music and aggressive mood. Classical music didn’t have a relationship between classic music and calm mood. The results of this study wouldn’t be able to support (Jordana Mena, 2007). This consists of classical music being composed with different emotions based on the key and time signature it is on. If the classical piece is written in a higher key then they saw different mood responses than the classical pieces written in a low key (Jordan Mena, 2007). This study has provided that music is more than just a piece, of a lyric, beat, or instrument it has been proven that music can help people ...
The Rolling Stones are one of the most well known hard rock bands. They have a distinctive history that separates them from other similar rock bands. Their unique sound formed the basis of rock and roll. The band had a huge influence on British music through things such as their fashion, fusion of obscure genres, and attitude. There have always been discussions of the effects music has on ones behavior, and how it’s related to Psychology. The truth has never really been verified among common knowledge, but it’s usually something that intrigues people. They say heavy metal and rap can make teenagers violent, sad and depressing music can make teenagers sad and depressed, and some say it’s best to listen to classical music when doing schoolwork because it makes your brain more active. There have been many people that reported how music has effects on their behavior. It can lift their mood, “fuel the fire” when they’re angry, or even make it easier for them to fall asleep. People never really get the chance to research the actual science of music, and how it changes people attitudes.

Music is that one friend that will always be there and will never judge us. It changes and has a huge impact on lives tremendously. There will always be that one song that can make a person get up and go. Sometimes, when we are sick it helps to take away some of the sorrow, pain, and it comforts us the best way it can. (White)

Music has a larger affect on feelings and emotions than most people realize. It is an automatic response for the human body to react to music in certain ways. Miller explains that “By the age of five, almost all healthy children have developed an unconscious framework for listening that will form the basis of their emotional response to music.” Sometimes the emotion that the music brings is very noticeable. For example, if someone is attempting to recover after the death of a loved one and they hear a song that reminds them of that person it can create different emotions quickly. The song could make that person remember the good ...
