“Heroism is not in the man but in the occasion” (Calvin Coolidge). The heroic traits of a warrior come from within the man when he is faced with a challenge, which leads to his reputation as a hero. The heroic features appear within the man. It takes courage and concern for others to prove a point and stand up for those people. “Of Heaven and earth; their ears could not hear His praise nor knew his glory. Let them Beware, those who are thrust into danger, Clutched at by trouble, yet yet can carry no solace in their hearts, cannot hope to be better! Hail to those who will rise to god, drop off their dead bodies and seek our father’s peace!” (Beowolf, 14)

Although these heroes faced many difficulties and obstacles they still came to the challenge and gained something from it whether it is immortality or even honor. Heroism or also referred to as great bravery, these warriors faced many challenges and sacrificing a life for many others, showing some traits of what it is to be a true hero but also affecting ones’ reputation. All of these reasons is what truly defines
