Define the field of study:
● Environmental science is the study of the biotic and abiotic factors in the environment
● It specifically focuses on the interaction that humans have with their environment as well as the impact that they have on their environment
● It also looks at the cultural, sociological, and behavioral interactions between humans and their environment
What do practitioners in this field do in their jobs?
● Environmental scientists do lots of work in the field e.g. testing water quality, looking at air pollution, and testing to see how chemicals could disperse in the event of a toxic spill
● They also study various fields e.g. physics, climatology, geology, biology, and meteorology and look into other areas such as natural resources management, statistics, and mathematical modeling
● Environmental scientists analyze environmental data
● They are also required to make lots of graphs and charts based off of what they find
● They also analyze data to determine the importance of human actions and activities on the environment
● Also they find and fix pollution and other environmental problems
● They also offer advice to businesses on how to keep the environment clean or on how to have a cleaner and more eco-friendly way of disposing waste
● Environmental scientists, instead of studying isolated organisms, look at different interconnected ecosystems so that they can learn more about the environment or the ecosystem in any given region
● They also study the earths properties, predict hazards, provide assessments on environmental issues as well as locating and preserving resources
● Also environmental scientists deal with invasive species
What Skills and tools do the practitioners use?

I think that environmental science can be related to medicine. I think that the main similarities are the urge to help and save people as well as keep things healthy. In medicine you try to help people get back to full health by looking at various medications and do whatever is necessary to have them get better and stay healthy. In some branches of environmental science you try to predict when and where some natural disasters may strike. By doing so you can alert people in nearby areas to be aware of the disaster and you could ultimately save lots of lives. In other part of environmental science you are focus on keeping different ecosystems as well as the environment clean and healthy to give us all a better place to live.
In Human Geography class, I learned about how human activity influences the surface of the Earth.

with regards to its analysis of the place of human beings in nature, whether the
Environmental Studies is the academic field, which systematically studies human interaction with the environment in which we live in. It is a broad field of study that includes the natural environment, built environment, and the sets of relationships between them. Environmental studies takes into account many different factors that help provide an enjoyable, fruitful way of life, such as national policies, politics, laws, economics, sociology and other social aspects, planning, pollution control, natural resources, and the interactions of human beings and nature.
There is no hesitation when it comes to whether humans impact the global environment. However, it is questioned in whether human’s ecological footprint is either negatively or positively impacting. In clear perspective, humans share from both sides and their ecological footprint is noted towards whether it will benefit or harm the environment around them. Topics such as overpopulation, pollution, biomagnification, and deforestation are all human impacted and can harm the environment, but some include benefits into helping the world around us with solutions to their problems.
Forensic scientists work in labs where they examine, identify, and interpret evidence collected in crime scenes. Crime scene investigators collect evidence and pass it to a forensic scientist who uses the items in numerous ways to help catch criminals. Forensic scientists must also record the evidence and any tests ran on it in detail to prove the truth in court. A forensic scientist also has to be able to present his or her physical evidence verbally in court, so a strong communication background is important.
Marine biology is the study of marine life in salt water ecosystems. It can also be described as observing how marine species interact with one another. Certain species of underwater plants can affect the environment in which they are put in. Some branches of marine biology study the affects of said plants. There are many branches of marine biology. Many people tend to study dolphins or sharks, since those are the most known marine animal. Only 30% of the world's oceans have been explored. This means that by being a marine biologists, I can have the chance to explore parts of the world that have never been seen before. Not many people are willing to go through the dark places of the oceans. This is what I want to do, because I would be the first one to see what is hidden behind the veil of darkness.
When the average person thinks about zoology, they usually think about a zoo and or animals. As said in General Zoology, many questions come with this topic. “What is life? In what ways are the various kinds of animals alike or unlike in structure, internal processes, and modes of life? How do animals carry on their activities? How are the many kinds related to one another? In what ways does man resemble and differ from other living things? The answers to many of these questions are provided by the science of zoology.” (General Zoology, page 3). While zoology does involve animals, the general study of zoology is far more complicated then one would imagine. Zoology is a branch of biology that studies the classification, origins, habitats and behaviors of organisms. Someone who studies zoology is a zoologist, and has the tasks of learning about new species and their habitats. It is a job that if mastered, can be one of the most fulfilling and knowledgeable careers someone can obtain.
and Odontology. Most forensic scientist go to school longer to study more than one field and are very diverse in what they can do.
Nature itself, contributes in varying ways to solve the sustainability problem. The weather and wind itself contributes to making wind turbines work. By having scientists find a way to solve the sustainability problem, the actual problem is fixed by nature and tested in nature in order to solve the problem. Therefore one can say nature’s role in solving the sustainability problem, is by simply being around to enable scientists working area to try the experiment out and to solve the sustainability problem.

...ree careers make sure that every day activities do not lead to the degradation of the environment. For these reasons, it is clear that chemistry is beneficial to the way of mankind.
- Studies the geological structures produced by deformations of the earth's crust, the rocks acquired after they have formed, as well as the processes that originate them. Scientist are working on the behavior of the tectonic plates in order to predict or know everything about it. This is one of the most interesting fields of the geology.
The environment today is not in a good condition, Climate change is evident, and oceans are getting polluted. Rainforrest's are decreasing in size due to deforestation and illegal logging. Animals are getting extinct due to the destruction of their habitats. Natural resources are being consumed at very large amounts, and get wasted. There are different ways these problems can be addressed, one option is environmental management. Environmental management focuses on conservation of natural resources, protection of habitats, and impact of humans on the environment. Conservation of natural resources is the smart use of the world's resources by humans, through this waste production is limited, and there will be less garbage in the world. By conserving
Environmental science refers to the study of the effects that occur through natural and unnatural processes. The study involves the interactions of the Earth’s physical components that take place on the environment. Notably, the natural environment consists of all existing and non-existing things that exist on the planet. Full ecological systems that operate as natural practices without requiring the intervention of human beings are also included in the environment. Furthermore, physical units such as animals, vegetation, rocks, microorganisms, natural phenomena, and atmosphere usually occur within the boundaries of the environment (Altman and Wohlwill 113). Although the environment embraces natural resources and physical phenomena that need clear limits, it is worth noting that renewable and non-renewable energy resource is an environmental science topic that should receive top priority next year due to various reasons.
