The World State decision to eliminate emotions is a horrible choice because everyone has the right to feel the way they want to. In the “Brave New World”, no one is allowed to be themselves. They take soma to block society emotions, and everyone is for everyone. Without soma the World State would be completely insane. The World State is not right for the decision to eliminate emotions. Relationships, Social body, and Stability, should always be a right to everyone. Wanting to be in a commitment relationship causes many problems in the World State. Fanny said, “It’s not a disagreeable about having one or two men besides Henry. And seeing you ought to be a little more promiscuous,” (Huxley 43). Lenina is seeing one guy, and she believes that he is reciprocating his feelings for her. Henry, who Lenina is seeing, has been giving other women his attention also. The World State is known for eliminating feelings and controlling the society thoughts. If one is found different from the other, there are consequences. “The service had begun.
