Values Short Story Have you done anything crazy like skydiving, cliff jumping or bridge jumping? If so you probably have adventurousness as a value. When I was nine years old I went bridge jumping with my family in Emmet. Every year, we go to this rusty, old bridge and this was my first year my mother allowed me to even try to jump off. If I did jump off I would be the youngest in my family to jump. It takes about an hour to get to this bridge and so on the way up I was a mix of emotions. I wanted to go bridge jumping because it would be exhilarating. However, on the other hand the bridge was 35 feet above the river. I was going through all the scenarios that could happen and my heart was beating out of my chest. Then, finally we got there and I was scared to death. It was such a beautiful day though. It was 93 degrees and the sky was a lovely color of light blue with only a few clouds on the horizon. We all get out of the car and start walking over to the jump sight. So, I climb onto the wire and I'm watching my cousins and older brothers jumping off the bridge. I am just about to jump and then, a car drives over the bridge were on and starts telling us how stupid we are. Also, he starts talking about how many people have died jumping off this bridge. This completely diminished my confidence and now I was back to thinking that I was going to die if I jump off this bridge. Or even if I didn't die that I would be very badly injured and that I would never be able to do the things I love like soccer, skiing or just even going on a bike ride. When I am thinking about this my family is cheering me on to jump. I am to afraid so, I decide to walk down to the little beach. As I am down there I go swimming and regain my
