The book Night is a memoir by Holocaust survivor Ellie Wiesel about her experiences in the concentration camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau and Buchenwald. Ellie has many life-altering things happen to him while in camp, including the loss of his family. In a dark place in history, night is a story of hope because, no matter how dark it was in the camp, Ellie kept his will and faith in staying alive and escaping the concentration camps. Wrapping up, no matter how dark their situation was, Ellie will for hope keep himself and his friends alive. Overall, Night is a story of hope because, even how dark the place was that they were in Auschwitz, Ellie still had the will and hope to survive and make it out of the concentration camps alive. Why did hope matter so much to Ellie and the others in the story? And what could have changed if it were better or more hopeful: the situation in the camps was horrible, and what’s terrifying is that it could have been a much worse situation.
