If you were in power would you follow your belief more or the law? In certain circumstances people follow their gut instead of the laws, when in their position, their gut should be the law. When people in power do this it has a negative, positively, or both kind of affect on society. People in power can shape society easily. In warriors don’t cry society was consistently being changed and shaped by the the choices of the people in power. Some people in power’s upcoming has something to do with their decisions making as well. The actions of people in power negatively and positively shaped society by making decisions.
President Eisenhower shaped society in a positive way. President Eisenhower was unbiased and not racist. One of the jobs of the president of the United States is to enforce the laws of the Constitution. Since Eisenhower believed this was his duty he was supportive of the integration to Central High. Governor Faubus was a white man, who grew up believe that white people were superior not just to African American people, but of all other races. Governor Faubus did everything in his power to halt integration. Governor Faubus didn’t care about the law or Constitution, he just believed that it was wrong for white and African American students to be going to the same school together. Governor Faubus is one of the people in power who shaped society in a negative way. He gave the order to keep the Little Rock Nine out of Central High High school. Governor Faubus also ordered National Guard to prevent Melba and the other 8 African American students. Governor Faubus gave people like the mob more powerful, which made life extremely difficult for The NAACP, the Little Rock Nine and their families, and anyone wanting the Little rock nine to succeed, and get through the
