Easy Company, a Company Like No Other How could you develop a bond so great, that you were willing to die for someone even though you have only known them for a short amount of time? This is what the men of Easy Company experienced during World War II. Easy Company, 506th Regiment, 101st airborne of the U.S. Army was one of the first airborne units to ever be created. They were the first of a new type of soldier who could parachute out of an airplane, and fight 3 days non stop when they hit the ground. These men did exactly that and more. These soldiers fought from Normandy Beach, France all the way to Hitler’s private mansion in the heart of Germany, Eagle’s Nest. They were the workhorse of the U.S. Army, fighting in several different countries, and experienced some of the toughest fighting in World War II. In the summer of 1942, men from all over the United States got together at Camp Toccoa, Georgia to create one of the best rifle companies in the world. Looting was a hobby shared by almost every soldier in World War II and the men of Easy Company were ecstatic when they found out that they were going to Eagle’s Nest because it held some of the greatest looting opportunities throughout the War. The men took the whole town Eagle’s Nest was located at without a single casualty. Most of the enemy soldiers knew that the War was pretty much over and surrendered peacefully. When they got to Eagle’s Nest, the men began taking whatever they could find before other soldiers got there. Then, they set up headquarters as Allied soldiers began pouring into Eagle’s Nest. The rest of the soldiers looted until there was nothing left to loot and then the partying
