Can two different people be the same? The answer is yes. The characters Dylan Klebold from the book Columbine, and Dick Hickcock are more alike than you know. The two men share a bit of similarities. “You know, men and women are a lot alike in certain situations. Like when they're both on fire - they're exactly alike” (Dave Attell). They both wanted domination, didn’t have many friends, and made many mistakes. “Dominance is only for GOD” (Syed Islam).Dylan and Dick, at times, felt as though they were like God in many ways. They both were the ones in charge of their operations, the masterminds behind it all, and the plan makers. Dylan had had many thoughts of revenge on some of the students of Columbine. He later thought that …show more content…
it would be a good idea to blow up his school, Columbine High. Dick had come up with the idea of robbing the Clutter family for their money. Both Dylan and Dick didn’t have many people as friends. They didn’t have many people they could trust or go to for help or talk to. Eric never really got along with anyone, except for Eric Harris. Dick only had Perry Smith. Both of their “friends” helped out with both of their plans. They were more of the followers of the stories. Dylan and Dick had both made careless mistakes when committing their crimes.
Before doing such, Dick had a problem of writing bad checks and stealing a bit here and there. It would cause him problems in the future. Dylan had also been a petty thief, getting himself into “system”. Eric had a website that in which he had expressed all of his hatred for everything and everyone; he had made the mistake of letting his dad and a few school acquaintances find out that he had been making and testing out his homemade pipe bombs. Dick had told another man, who had been his cellmate, named Floyd Wells of his plans to rob the Clutters. Dick had also left a bloody foot print at the scene of the crime. All mistakes that could’ve helped them in not getting caught. Dylan and Dick were both troubled in the end. They both receive a bit of infamy for their crimes committed. They are remembered well for what they’ve done. Even though they are two different characters from two different books, written by two different authors, they both have a hand full of things in common with one another. ). Cliques are formed over a similar bonding of interests. From the inside, a clique can bring out a feeling of euphoria and acceptance—from the outside, a clique is a swarm of intimidating beasts. It was reported that both Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold had “trouble fitting into any of the cliques at their school”. (Rosenberg, 2015, p. 2). Feelings of rejection can stimulate hatred and anger towards a person or group of people. That hatred has the potential to manifest into a physical form of either self-harm or an outward threat, or a psychological form of mental illness. This prolonged form of social bullying (Rosenberg, 2015, p. 2) evolved into thoughts of suicide and social anxiety. At their breaking point, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold concocted
People often recognize similarities between themselves and a character from a book, movie, or TV show. I relate myself to Meredith Grey, the Chief of General Surgery, from Grey’s Anatomy. We are both stubborn to some degree. We also share a lot of the same qualities; determination, perseverance, and hopefulness. Also, we aren’t afraid to say what’s on our mind. I would say I kind of resemble a mini- Meredith.
second tnait that they have is that they are both hard working. One exarnple,of this trait is that
Isabel Allende, a writer, once stated, “I tend to see the similarities in people and not the differences.” Many people see differences in people, not everyone or everything is the same. Washington Irving seen the similarities between Tom and Rip. Both Tom and Rip had a very lazy, but have friendly personalities. They had the similar idea of going into a wooded area to get away from their abuse and nagging wives.

Today, the most difficult day in my family’s life, we gather to say farewell to our son, brother, fiancé and friend. To those of you here and elsewhere who know Dylan you already are aware of the type of person he was and these words you will hear are already in your memory. To those who were not as fortunate, these words will give you a sense of the type of man he was and as an ideal for which we should strive. My son has been often described as a gentle soul. He was pure of heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. He had a way with people that made them feel comfortable around him and infected others to gravitate toward him. Dylan exuded kindness and pulled generosity and altruism out from everyone he touched. He was everyone's best friend.
They are both very different, but in some ways, they are the same when it comes to never giving up and always pushing through struggles they go through in their life. They both needed to learn how to deal with different people all of the time. They learned many lessons about themselves, and life itself, on the way. They persevered to get to where they are today. For example, my mom was very loyal and true to all of the new bosses and colleagues that changed constantly. Buck, was true and loyal to all of his owners that changed from time to time. They were both determined to do the best they could do no matter what.
At the first, both Jamie and Dylan have small defects in their personality toward relationship which are emotionally damaged and emotionally unavailable and are vulnerable in their previous relationships, so they did not want to get involved in other relationship because they in order to avoid being hurt again. Therefore, even though they knew that both of them have sparkle between them, they denied the feeling toward each other. However, Dylan’s father did not want Dylan to make the same mistake that he made in his life, so he tells Dylan that his biggest regret
Numerous people in the world make mistakes everyday just like Greg Ousley who killed both of his parents at age 14, yet it doesn’t prevent a person from becoming a dynamic character like Greg Ousley. Greg Ousley killed his parents due to them not understanding him, but Ousley didn’t really understand why he killed them and how he was going to be changed until serving his sentence of 60 years. “Yet during this same period, Greg somehow managed to become a model inmate.” Ousley’s childhood was filled with trouble like telling friends he was going to kill his parents in 7th grade, running away from home, use of firearms, and getting high; this trouble stilled continued in prison with Ousley getting written for countless minors. Greg Ousley changed
Haiti is a tough place to live. “Krik Krak” shows how tough it is and how people react to their situations. Some people will react in a positive way, while others won’t. In the book, “Krik Krak”, a series of short stories, the author Danticat utilizes juxtaposition to create intriguing characters that in return create the overall mood of uneasiness throughout the book. The specific examples that best display intriguing characters, creating a sense of uneasiness is a troubled girl, a sorrowful father, and a disturbed maid.
Eric and Dylan goes on a killing spree. Dylan was grounded because he would always get caught when he did something. Eric found a new friend and Dylan felt abandoned. Eric would always get out of trouble and Dylan would always grounded. Dylan would sit in his room thinking about killing himself and other people. He said, “ then he weighed the other option: He named a friend and he said will you get me a gun, I’ll go on my killing spree against anyone i want.” He was depressed because he didn’t have any freedom. He did not have anything to do but sit in his room. While his friend Eric got away with everything. Dylan’s second allusion is to murder. He was depressed because he did some stuff at the school.
Simply a game of cat and mouse between two strong personalities. Forced together, each just wanted to stake out their
