I see what is left of the space needle. But the tip of the needle is implanted into somebodys chest. I keep myself from throwing up all over in the car but it was hard. I somehow managed to keep myself from vomiting. I step on the gas a little more just to speed some things up. We keep driving and then we are out of Seattle and on our way to Olympia. I follow to highway and stop to look if there was a sign, but there wasn't. I just decide to turn right and hopefully it would do. I keep driving and I see a sign ahead. I approach the sign and it states “Tacoma ahead beware of flesh eaters.” I look at my wife as I drive past the sign. I tell my wife that she should rest and that she shouldn't worry. She leans her seat back and closes her eyes. …show more content…
I drive through to see people pointing weapons at me. I keep driving but don't speed up. I drive through the city, it looks like normal. There's children running around playing tag in the streets. I drive to the other end of the city and another gate opens and I'm off again. I keep driving down the windy road listening to the ocean slamming against the rocks. I hit the gas and were speeding down the highway. We arrive at Olympia and the city is destroyed. The buildings are destroyed but there's only one thing I need from Olympia. I take a left on Main Street and drive down the road for a couple miles. I pull up to another fence, this fence is more fortified. There's no holes in the fence or and signs of people. I wake my Wife and she gets up immediately. I hand her, her weapon and tell her that I’m going in. I grab my AR and get out of the car. I walk to the fence and shoot the lock out. I attempt to slide the gate over with one hand but I couldn't do it. I put my gun down and push the gate to the left with all of my might. I slide the door open and grab my gun. I stand in the doorway as the sun begins to fall. I go back to the car and ask my wife if she had grabbed my bag, she had. I grab my bag from the back and slam the door shut. I put the bag on the hood of the car and open it. I grab my silencer and attach it to my barrel. I grab my flashlight and duct tape it on to the side of my gun. Then I see my …show more content…
I see a sign that says Idaho 202 miles. I keep driving. I look at the gas speedometer and notice that it is getting low. It was getting close. I keep driving and see a small town ahead. I drive cautiously towards the city and I wonder if there is a gas station there. I think that there would have to be. I enter the town and see that there is a gas station. I pull into the the station and see a sign “Gas here.” I get out of my car and stick the nozzle in the gas tank. I pull the trigger and the gas starts to pour into the tank. I take the nozzle out to be surprised walkers walking towards me I pull out my bowie knife and walk towards the walkers. I stab one of the walkers in the head. I step back with the other three still walking towards me. Then the zombies fall to the floor. I turn and see my wife and see her that had shot the walkers. I run to the car and get in the car. I reverse out of the station and head towards Idaho even more. I get out of the city and we keep driving down the windy forestry road. The light coming through the trees, a little bit foggy, the earthy smell, the quietness, coolness, moss growing on the trunks of the trees, droplets of water dripping from large leaves, ferns, water trickling through the little creek I keep driving dreaming that I had wished that I had lived here. I get out of the forest area and into another town. I stop the car and we both get out to go into the store. We walk in
As we are on our way towards California our car starts to slow down by itself. We were in the middle of nowhere with no one around, because we are taking a different way. We did not want to wait in traffic. I woke everyone up and told them that our car was out of gas. “How could this happen?” said Catherine, “How have you not noticed?” I did not know how to answer her question. We looked at a map that we had in the car. We started to push it toward the nearest main road. We saw others broken down on the side of the road. They had a flat tire so, we decided to help. In return we were able to get some of their gas that they had. It was already getting dark so we pulled over on the side of the road. We made the tent and fell asleep. Catherine asked, “Will we make it out of this?” I replied, “ We will found out
The sun had just set and all the street lights had begun to turn on to help see through the dark alleys. Just before we began to close the store something surprisin...
One of the men smiles and assures me everything will be ok. I start to worry knowing when emergency crew say that something truly is wrong. While the man was speaking, the other slipped out of my sight and reappeared with a sharp needle. I wanted to tell of my fear of needles, but before I could say anything. The man injected the big needle and clear like substance into my body.
I walked over to the door, the adrenaline that is flowing through me causes my heart to pound so hard I thought it was going to burst right out of my chest. I take a deep breath and open the
Two shoddy looking Z's came at us from the right side of the road. Both were men dressed in jeans and flannel. Three other zombies came at us from the left. Two were women and the other looked to be a child.
It’s 3:20 am. on a Friday morning, and pitch black out. The only things visible are the tree branches and pavement shining from yellow streetlights that carve out a path from the parking lot to the back door of my building. Living on campus at Towson I should’ve owned mace, but I clutched my car key instead, pointed outward ready to stab the eye of anyone deciding to come out of the dark after me. The brisk walk up the hill seems to take half an hour. Finally under the bright lights of the overhang I swipe my card quickly to get inside. The door bolt locks behind me with a loud click. I’m safe.
I slam on the breaks and push down hard on the horn. The lady looks up. Sort of dazed and oblivious, she keeps going. My car screeches to a halt in front of her and her eyes widen with confusion. There seems to be something, or perhaps, someone, in her arms.
It felt like a slow-motion horror movie, only I was in it. I finally reached the front door and grasped the handle with a loose grip. I squeezed the handle of the door and pulled in a downwards motion, only to realize it had barely moved. I summoned the last reserves of strength left in my body and desperately pulled the handle again. No success.
Nothing. I got the window open just as something slammed into the door. BANG. The door busted open. “Help me!”
Bullets were flying by. The abandoned house was being shredded by the bullets. Me and my partner were behind a big metal pipe. All I could hear was loud explosions of guns and as the noise died out and it sounded like he had left the building, my partner peaked out and got shot right in the chest. I am so hungry.
It also so happened that in this particular location, there was no connection to the internet thus there was also no way of knowing where to go. We figured that the best option was to keep driving and hope for the best. We drove for what felt like years until finally, amongst the cluster of the trees, I saw my salvation. The dim light emanating from the hospital made me feel like I had finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. I was sorely mistaken.
I grabbed pieces of the wooden door to use as a weapon. Although it wasn’t very strong, since I broke through it with a watch. I had to choose between right or left. I chose right. I walked slowly and cautiously against the wall.
I didn’t feel the hard landing on the cement slab. I didn’t see the glass explode around me and into my skin. My world turned black as night. I woke up to a cloudy image of frantic men, through the holes of what remained of my car, yelling and staring down at me. I was numb; I felt no pain or understanding.
My fingers curled around the trigger and my shaking hands brought the barrel of the gun to my forehead. The fact that this was the end brought me a sick and twisted feeling of relief. I shut my eyes and pulled the trigger. The boom of the gunshot echoed through the park. I opened my eyes in disbelief realizing the bullet had not injured me.
The fob still in my hand, I put a slight pressure on the unlocked keypad, making sure the front doors are accessible. I just want to get out of here. I throw the keys in, my head arising from the inside of the car as I shuffle backwards. First one leg. Than the other.
