I am writing this letter to advise you on the dropping the bomb on Japan. Dropping the bomb is a necessary of two evils. As you know the war has dragged on for far too long, and we have lost far too many American lives to the Japanese. End the War quickly so our boys can get home should be of the utmost importance. Especially since we are fighting a brutal and merciless enemy that have their mind set on destroying the spirits of our troops. The use of the bomb would bring unconditional surrender faster so we could make the necessary changes and overthrow the military rule of Japan. Having this strategic advantage over Russian, would give us many benefits in foreign policy. “In Moscow, Joseph Stalin was concerned that the bomb would be turned against him, at least politically.” The dropping of the bomb would earn us tremendous respect among Stalin and the Russians. Ultimately, the bomb offers many benefits with not a lot of downside. The bomb would end the war and save many of our troop’s lives sparing them from the brutal and merciless Japanese soldiers.
