The decision I made about the choice of appearance and reality as the theme to analyze was the right one because many people are becoming accustomed to the fantasy which they think is the reality. They believe that what’s in front of them is fictitious or unreal, they believe that they’re just dreaming. Moreover, people are getting bullied and teased through their appearances. Dramatic irony occurs when the audience or the reader knows something important that a character in a play or story does not know. An example of a dramatic irony is in the short story named “The Cask of Amontillado”. It explains how the narrator obtained his revenge on his worst enemy. I was the new student in school, so I have to present myself to the class. I have to say my name, where my last school was, where I am from, and what’s my birthday. After I present myself, the teacher told me where my seat was. At that time, there was this girl that kept looking at me. When lunch break, she walked towards me and asked if she could be my friend. She has the same height as I am, long black shiny hair, a little pounds more than me, and she has this wing line on her eyes. I told her that she could be my friend since I’m new to this school. A few weeks have passed, and we have to partner up to two people to do a group project about how to prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses. She partner up with someone else, and I don’t know anyone in this school but her. Everyone has a partner but me. I have to do the project all by myself. While I was doing my project, I asked myself, is she mad at me? and what did I do? The bell for lunch break rang and I went to her and asked her those questions I asked myself earlier. I also asked her why she didn’t partner up with me earlier. She said “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be friend with you, I was playing truth or dare with these popular girls in school, and it was me that has to do the dare; I have to be friends with you for a few weeks and after that I won’t disturb and talk to you
