“Bad News: Trump is Not Becoming Any More Presidential”; This is just one of the plentiful headlines that appear in the ever-growing news organization, The Washington Post. However, this headline is not the only one when it comes to criticizing the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. The reason these headlines exist is due to Trump’s attacks toward innocent women, people of color, and immigrants. Therefore, Donald Trump will carry out as an atrocious president because his opinions are reprehensible, he wants to ban the majority of immigrants, and his ideas are irrational.
To begin, Donald Trump is a morally wrong man and his opinions are reprehensible. Many of his remarks attacks people of color, different cultures, and women. One example of his racism toward a culture is the Muslim Travel Ban. The ban blocks people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the United States. Trump states

Ever since his campaign, Trump has shown hatred towards immigrants and wanted them to leave. However, America relies on immigrants for labor. For example, on February 16th, 2017, there was a day called “A Day Without Immigrants.” This was a boycott where businesses and shops closed down to show that America needs immigrants to run the smaller job positions. In addition, Immigrants do not have a negative impact contrary to what Trump stated. In a speech about job plans, Trump said, “It will be American workers who are hired to do the job.” This quote summarizes that Trump wants to revoke the jobs of immigrants and give it to the Americans. However, a study was done by an economics professor at Cornell University and the results state that there are, “Little to no negative effects on overall wages and employment of native-born workers in the longer term” (Blau). This shows that Trump’s reason is invalid and it is unnecessary to deport the majority of
Donald J. Trump, is known to many as the orange man who wags his finger down a long table of celebrities firing them left and right every Sunday night on NBC. To others he is known as the billionaire tycoon, who graces our headlines for remarkably insensitive or oddball remarks. All (not even possibly Mr. Trump himself), at least until now, viewed him as a possible candidate for the next President of the United States. But as polls indicate, and citizens across the country (both moderate and conservative) vote in favor of Trump, he may very well be sitting in the oval office come January 20th, 2017. Whether this strikes fear in your heart, or tremendous hope is beside the matter, no one can deny the fervor and mania Trump
Immigration has been a great part in America’s history since the 1880’s to 1920 and also the first part of the 19th century. Many immigrants came to America seeking greater economic opportunity, others, such as Pilgrims came in the early 1600’s in the search for religious freedom (History.com Staff, par 1). Immigrants are taking the jobs that Americans do not want, but Americans want the immigrants to leave the country. Donald Trump says, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re
The balance of saying what you believe and what other will think of you for saying it is hard. had always been there for Ronald Reagan before being president, he was in the spotlight as an actor. One point of criticism was after he became president and tensions were high. How he handled it was on of the ways he influenced the American way.
Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
“The beauty of me is that I am very rich” according to Donald Trump. His ignorance has lead him to do things that he shouldn’t being doing or has done. In the past few months he has been racist man that would insult people that are from a different race. When Trump started running for president he would insult and bully everybody in general not knowing the people’s stories. He made people seem like they are poor and have nothing to live for, Trump’s inability to see past his greed. He wants to separate the United States and wants people to think he is the best of the best; Trump should not be President.
“Make America Great Again,” the campaign slogan know all around the world that is determined to change the face of 2016 election when sixty nine year old Donald John Trump is elected. In 2004, the federal debt was $7.3 trillion. This rose to $10 trillion when the housing bubble burst four years later. Today it exceeds $18 trillion and is projected to approach $21 trillion by 2019. Debt is not the only the thing the United States has been dealing within the past years, such as immigration, abortion, guns, foreign policy, taxes, along with numerous other topics, yet Trump has a way to solve the unsolved and yes, “Make America Great Again.”
Examining Trump’s rhetoric and past actions, it becomes clear that Trump’s ability to be the leader of America, especially in today’s already heated world climate, becomes questionable. When even the members of his own party refuse to endorse him and claim that he is not qualified to run a country, the general public needs to sit back and question his integrity. In Trump’s past, he has proven to be an insensitive, racist, greedy business man. Why would he prove to be any different once elected to office?
This article highlighted everything I find wrong with the “immigrants are taking our job” argument. Many Americans like to say that they can’t find a job and that unemployment rates are rising because of the number of undocumented immigrants working in the United States. However, when it comes down to the facts, the jobs undocumented immigrants take are not appealing to Americans in the slightest. They’re the hardest, more demanding jobs that require people to work in very dangerous, life threatening positions. I’ve met many people that are looking for work but have never considered – and would never consider – taking a job in a factory or working in a field. Immigrants take these jobs because no one else will do them and they need the money.
The issue of undocumented immigrants has been a huge debate in the 2016 Presidential Debate. The increase in undocumented immigrants to the US has Americans scared that the increase is more like an invasion, but there are so many other reasons on why it is better to keep our undocumented immigrant population than deport them. The fact they better our economy, by taking low end jobs, or increasing our GDP per capita by 4% is a great place to start(). Most Americans say that deporting the undocumented immigrants is in America’s best interest, but in reality, the undocumented immigrants help America and even Americans themselves.
He brings to our attention that 70 percent of the immigrants who arrive to America are young, strong and ready to work for a low amount of money. This means that the U.S. gets a new labor force without ever spending any funds into their education, wellbeing or health care and these same immigrants will be the ones who contribute 500 billion dollars into the economy within 20 years. As we know the U.S. economy is facing a dangerous crisis do to baby boomers who will soon be retiring and this will have a huge economic impact. As a result, immigrants will help sustain the American economy once the crisis worsens. The U.S. Chamber Of Commerce, says, “Under these circumstances, immigrants will play a critical role in replenishing the labor force and, therefore, the tax base.” Proving that immigrants do not drain the economy but actually contribute a great amount of funds and keep creating a moving economy. Immigrants do not drain the economy just like they don 't take away jobs away from American-born
In viewing the vedio two difining events come to mind Immigratiom Act of 1990 and The American Civil War. The Immigration Act of the 1990was an amendement incacted by George W. Every person has wondered about something - whether it be a person, place, thing, law, or anything that someone can think about. They ask questions both rhetorical and actual to themselves, and usually make it a mission to answer these questions. Some of the biggest questions have something to do with culture and religion. One of the most major questions of all time - to what extent does an individual have control over the outcome of his or her life? There are many different opinions on this topic.
““Well, they had a point. You are fat and disgusting!” The therapist announced. Patricia was sobbing, eyes red and nose runny...“Come on… Let’s go. We aren’t putting up with that!” her father...opened the door and ushered the family through. The therapist just observed and no more was heard from him…[Her nervous breakdown] was a result of long term bullying leading to an episode of being run out of school by a gang of boys. They threatened to kill her with a crowbar, sticks and wooden planks. She felt like a hunted fox” (shazwellyn.hubpages.com). No matter how hard a parent might try to help their child, whether they’re being bullied or are the bully, the consequences should not fall on the people who raise them because the victims have to do what they can to make up for what they’ve done or what they’ve suffered. The city of Monona, Wisconsin has proposed a new law that tickets and fines the parents for failing to respond properly to their child’s poor behavior. A behavioral and personal change consulting specialist, Mr. Michael Harmann, hypothesized that bullying behavior is typically an effort to cover up the bully's own vulnerability. It's a primitive mindset that wants to make you pay when you show vulnerability and since bullying mostly occurs under the legal age, that’s enough to say that higher levels of authority don’t have control over the thoughts and actions that bullies use as an outlet for their own pain because it goes against the Constitution. The key to helping the children we feel so sorry for is to heal the bully before he turns into a monster and the only way to help the perpetrator is to make him face his motivation to bully. “If you think about it, a great strategy to avoid being rejected is to reject everyon...
What makes a good person good? According to WikiHow, "We should learn to define our own morals ourselves. One of the simplest ways to do so is to love others, and treat them as you would like to be treated. Try to think of others before yourself. Even doing small things daily will greatly enrich and improve your life, and the lives of others around you." This quote shows us what we need to do in order to be what society thinks as, “good". In order to be a good person, you have to do good and moral things in your society consistently. However people might think that by doing one good thing once in a while will automatically make you a “good person”, but in reality it doesn’t.
Politics is one of the most debated topics in the country today. With the wide variety of values present in America, it is bound to be a difficult topic to discuss. I’ve grown up in a family of democrats with religiously republican grandparents. Considering myself an Independent leaning democratic, I can usually calmly talk politics with my family. This year’s election has made any conversation surrounding politics toxic to my family and creates a large argument of one side or the other and no in between.
