Julie immediately told her mother what the boys did to her. Julie’s mother informed the other parents and the boys received intense physical beatings as punishment. Soon after the rape, Henry and Danny’s families moved away and the group was split up.” Not only did the boys have sex with prostitutes at the young age of 15, they also raped a young girl. This assault was Gaskin’s first violent sexual crime he had committed, and he explained it as “.being a very fulfilling part of his life.” This was most likely when a young Gaskin’s felt power over another individual for the first time after experiencing abuse at the hands of others. After the parents found out about the assault, both Henry and Danny’s family moved away, splitting up the trouble trio. These killings are just a sliver of the total number of murders Gaskin’s committed. His brutality towards young girls, boys, and women was unheard of at the time in South Carolina. Diagnosis : I believe that Gaskin’s had more than one disorder. I think Gaskin’s had narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), antisocial personality disorder, both sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies, and sadistic tendencies. The psychosocial factors that exist include the torment that Gaskin’s went through as a child and a young teen. Since his childhood, Gaskin’s been physically, emotionally and sexually abused by his mother, his father, and his mother’s boyfriends. This abuse led to Gaskin’s having no self-esteem, no coping mechanisms, and having dire mental health problems. The abuse did not stop outside of home either, he was regularly bullied and beaten at school by his fellow classmates. These psychosocial factors eventually led to Gaskin’s actions in the future as an adult. The contextual factors that exist include growing up in a poor household. With Gaskin’s mother being the only source of income in the house, they did not live the best

...s aimed at blacks. I was horrified while reading the fate of Georgia resident, Sam Hose (or Holt), and believe that that occurrence alone would motivate Robert Charles to murder. I was also disgusted with the South's lack of justice. Some whites were tried for murder, and although clearly guilty, received no punishment.
In June of 1998, a sadistic murder of a middle-aged black man from Jasper, Texas, rekindled memories of lynching practices from the blood stained American past. James Byrd, Jr., 49, was beaten savagely to the point of unconsciousness, chained to the back of a pickup truck by his neck, and dragged for miles over rural roads outside the town of Jasper. It is believed that Byrd survived through most of this experience, that is, until he was decapitated. Three white men, John William King, 23, Shawn Berry, 23, (both of whom had links to white supremacist groups) and Lawrence Brewer Jr., 31, were arrested. Brewer and King were sentenced to death for a racial hate crime that shocked the nation. Berry was sent to prison for life.
Imagine being stuck in a chair for five hours while someone transformed your face into some monster. John Matuszak had to tackle that challenge everyday of his acting job in The Goonies. John’s legacy still lives on for a few decades after his death in the role of Sloth. For him, it was nothing compared to his NFL career. John was an amazing defensive end, mostly for the Oakland Raiders. The phrase Renaissance man truly defines John Matuszak.
In 1982, police received a call about a body floating in the Green River in Salt Lake City, Utah (it was just one of many bodies that they were going to find). Police were stunned when they started receiving more calls about bodies found in parks, play grounds, and near highways. When police learned that all of the victims were prostitutes, they knew this was a key piece of evidence in their investigation. No one could have ever known that Gary Ridgway just started one of the largest killing sprees in American history. Ridgway grew up in a house where he was abused and harassed by his mother, Mary Ridgway. Ridgway soon began growing a strong hatred towards his abusive mother. Ridgway had begun thinking of some ways he could get back at her by hurting her, but he never did. According to American Murder, Ridgway went through numerous divorces and had a history of interacting with prostitutes (Mayo). ). Ridgway’s past with women soon made him develop a strong dislike for them and led to his killings.
...ebrooks, Chris Richardson, Latonya Wilson, Aaron Wyche, Anthony Carter, Earl Terrell, Clifford Jones, Darren Glass, Charles Stephens, Aaron Jackson, Patrick Rogers, Lubie Geter, Terry Pue, Patrick Baltazar, Curtis Walker, Joseph Bell, Timothy Hill were all victims of this ruthless killing. Regardless of who was behind this killings, each one of them got their lives cut short due to someones cruelty. In conclusion, the Atlanta Missing and Murdered case, a major breakthrough to an investigation which had seen 29 African- American children and adults murdered in a series of killings came with the arrest of 23 year old Wayne B. Williams, who was convicted of the crimes and sentenced to life imprisonment. This was one of the darkest moments in the history of Atlanta, a period of darkness which will forever live in the minds of both the victims and the people of Georgia.
Throughout all of American history there have been those who are well known for committing what are classified as deviant or criminal acts. Most of those who are well known by the public for their actions have committed deeds seen as extremely controversial such as being cult leaders, gang or mafia members, terrorists, rapists, or killers. The lists of members for each topic is numerous, however, there are a certain few that are more prominent than others. One criminal that stands out when speaking of killers in particular is Gary Ridgway, or as he is better known, the Green River Killer. Gary Ridgway is the nation’s most abundant serial killer, with the highest murder rate in America’s history (Gibson).
There is a quote by my favorite musical artist, Jhene Aiko, which says “What you create for you, no one can take from you. Your energy, love and your soul is all that goes wherever you go. Everything else don’t.” This strongly resonates with me because growing up, I never had a place where I felt I could fit into , I usually had to create one. From being the only hispanic in my entirely West African/German-American family to being the only boy who wanted to be in the drama club more than the sports teams. This obligation to create a place where I belonged, often came with many challenges and still does.
This paper is talking about “The Serial Killer,” but focus on Gary Ridgway- “The Green River Serial Killer.” He earned his nickname because the first five victims that he killed were found in the Green River. He was one of the most famous serial killers in the United States. Ridgway raped, chocked, killer and discarded 48 women, including many teenagers as young as 15 years old (Silja J, 2003). In Ridgway’s mind, he even believed that he was helping the police out, as he admitted in one interview with investigators (Silja J, 2003).
Picture a good neighbor, someone you consider a pillar of the community who would never make a scene - someone who works hard, serves on boards, and even keeps the children giggling at birthday parties. Now, imagine that same individual to be a vicious, remorseless creature, a monster which attacks its victims who are the most vulnerable. It is the very dichotomy, the very “Jekyll and Hyde” phenomenon, which is represented by none other than John Wayne Gacy, a man who concealed his atrocious acts behind an impeccable yet horrifying facade of normalcy. In the 1970s, Gacy carried out the grisly murders of at least 33 young men and boys in the Chicago suburbs, still putting on a smile as though he was just another citizen. That the most grievous
Henry Gerber spent his life working to create an equal environment for himself and his fellow homosexuals.

“Alongside Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Willem de Kooning, Robert Motherwell is considered one of the great American Abstract Expressionist painters” (Artsy, Web). Not only was Robert Motherwell known for his astonishing paintings that were expressed so beautifully, he was also a very smart man, and was well taught in literature, philosophy, and modern European traditions. Each stroke from his brush on the canvas meant something to him. He filled the canvas with the way he saw things. “It’s not that the creative act and the critical act are simultaneous,” Motherwell said.
