To start he was born on February 10, 1978 in Puerto Rico. His birth name was William Omar Landron Rivera and then later changed his name to Don Omar. He is the son of William Landron and Luz Antonia. Through out his early years in life and then in high school Don had always had a strong liking of music. Don had a chance after graduating high school to become a pastor at his church but instead he pursued music.! ! The music industry is very difficult and is often a hit and miss. Don had to work hard to become who he is today. His career started as a backup singer to Duo Hector and Tito, but little did he know that Duo Hector would help Don publish his first album. …show more content…
This release was the official start of Don’s solo career. In “The Last Don” Don calibrated with many artists, some are Hector, Treble, Tito. Soon after the debut of the album the Recording Industry of America concluded that his album had gone platinum. Later in 2003 he was recognized at the Latin American Music awards for his accomplishments. He won Best Latin American Album and Best Latin Hip-Hop Album of the year.! ! The second album Don debuted was “King of Kings” the release year was 2007. Yet again he got a massive hit. His album immediately went to number one on the list of best latin american albums, and then later hit number seven on the international billboards. This album also started his connection with the “Fast and The Furious Franchise”, two of his songs from the album “ King of Kings” was in “Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift.”! ! Don grew up playing hockey, for he was playing in the OHL by the time he was 17. Unfortunately, Don never made it big, but he managed to make his way around the minor league system for a good 15 years. He played a few games in the NHL, attended many training camps, but nothing to brag about. But, that is where Don is different, for he will brag about his days on the ice. He will let every one know about his toughness, grit and determination. After his days as a minor league player, Don was hired on as the head coach for the Boston Bruins, where he experienced much success including a coach of the year award in 1976. It was in 1984 where Don found his true calling though, for it was that year where he accepted a job on the popular Hockey Night in Canada.

Reymundo’s father died when he was almost five years old, therefore he does not have much memory of the relationship that they had.
