Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago
Over the centuries many cultures have spread across the globe making every country unique in their own way. Although many nations may share similar issues, lifestyles and ways of living can be very different in every region of the world. Let’s use the Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago for example. We can start off by looking at historical monuments and cultural landmarks that tell a story of each country's history.
In the Dominican Republic, tourists attractions thrive throughout the country. One of the most notorious tourists attractions are a set of lakes found in Mirador del Este Park within a limestone cave called “Los Tres Ojos” which translates to “The Three Eyes”. The site …show more content…

Almost a third of the population living in the Dominican Republic live in poverty and 20 percent of that number is in the rural areas. Many of these people are farmers with families who rely on nature for survival. Many can't afford proper sanitation and are unable to execute proper ways of using their land which brings forth many issues that put the environment at risk. “Furthermore, in countries such as the Dominican Republic, where there is a political will to achieve a significant reduction of the current rate of loss of biodiversity, in addition to a strong interest in developing an integrated response seeking to attain a greater reduction of poverty, an even larger difference can be achieved(Dominican 13).”
Trinidad and Tobago’s pollution takes a big toll on the countries environment. Water pollution seems to be the worst form of pollution found in the country. Some of the main causes of the water pollution are due to the chemicals used in agriculture. Industrial wastes and raw sewage are also components that make this country's water index very high compared to others. All other religions practiced in the Dominican fall into the other 5%. Roman Catholicism is also found to be the most dominant religion in Trinidad and Tobago. While it is the most practiced religion in the country, it does not make up for more than half of the population like it does in Dominican Republic. The percentages of the top three religions in Trinidad and Tobago are Roman Catholicism at 26%, Hinduism at 22.5 %, and Anglicanism at 7.8% (cia.gov 45).
Although Roman Catholicism reigns as the most common practiced religion in both countries we can assumed by the statistics that Trinidad and Tobago are a much more diverse country when it comes to religion. Hinduism does not trail far behind in the percentages of followers and could easily overtake the top spot as to where in the dominican republic, roman catholicism sees no sight of any
