What is religion? Religion can be defined differently to any person being asked, but to many people religion is a way to make sense of the world and finding guidance and faith when a person feels low. Being part of something bigger than one–self and finding an understanding of the world and society, and having a group of people that have the same belief come together in a church, temple, etc. There's a large percentage of the population that have their religious belief 31.5% are Christians, 23.2% Muslims, 7.1% Buddhists,15.0% Hindus. There're many large religious group worldwide that have their own beliefs which it's great to see people come together. The reverend Simeon Jocelyn of New Haven speaking in 1834 before the American Anti-Slavery Society, condemned slavery as the nation's morality is failing. American church is stained with the blood of the innocent, as the churches of America did nothing to help people in need. Isn't a church a place to look for help and guidance for the people whomever it may be no matter what race a person is? Catholic churches treat women as second-class citizens, women aren't allowed to be priest, aren't allowed to be married and treat homosexual as sinful non-human being. Catholics are not the only religion that treat women as second-class citizens Christianity, Islam, and Hindi. In some religion not all, women are treated unequal women aren't allowed to make their own decision without their husband, father, brother or any male relatives being around. Buddha believed that morality was a virtue, consisting of moral discipline, right conduct and a calm spirit at all times. He considered this virtue a path to liberation. That considered are important in modern society to avoid taking anything unless you are sure that it is intended for you. In other words, no stealing. Another moral view he offered in his teachings was to refrain yourself from false speeches. Meaning avoid lying and being deceiving. Honestly will always be your best policy.
